Good things come to those who wait. Now I just hope we see a nice Amazon discount price to make it look even better.

The "Game of the Year Edition" of PlayStation 3 hit LittleBigPlanet is coming later this year with a cheaper price tag and some amount of downloadable content included on the disc. About $30 worth of content, apparently.

While details on what that extra content thrown in for free will be aren't specified in the Amazon.com listing, the lower price and extra goodies really should convince you to pick up a copy of LittleBigPlanet already. I mean, have you seen how cute these Sackboy things are? Seriously. Just precious.

The original report on the LittleBigPlanet re-release indicated that "much" of the downloadable content already available would be bundled with the core game. Whether that includes the dozens of available downloadable costumes or simply some of the game's user-created levels is unclear. The "valued at" makes us wonder.

Amazon doesn't offer a date, but it's making it available for pre-order. Keep a button open for more details.

In the meantime, feel free to debate whether the GOTY edition box art is better or worse than the original.

Excellent. Any idea whether or not it's coming in the red GH packaging or the standard stuff?

Considering there is something like $90 worth of DLC already up and probably more before this gets released, I would hesitate to really call this a GOTY edition. I was excited at first, but when I realized it really isn't even complete to the date of release, it makes me think this isn't the last release of this game, so I'm gonna keep waiting.

There's $90 DLC? Maybe they added the bundled releases instead of all the single DLC releases is what they meant. But yeah. I hate DLC to add new costumes etc. The prices are ridiculous.

Most game sites have interpreted the $30 to mean that a lot of currently available DLC will not be included in this GOTY edition. Even with bundles, etc... there is still way more than $30 worth of DLC out there right now. It seems ridiculous that they couldn't just include everything up until the release date in November considering it's a blu ray which can more than hold the game and everything that has been released.
