So I love everyone here at DigitPress, but I was wondering if there are any other sites similar to this one for console games? Anywhere Nintendo, Sega, Sony and other console games are discussed and/or collected and/or bought and sold is basically what I'm looking for. I'm not in the know, so help me out DPers! :-P

perhaps more helpful to you, the following are good sites for finding information on classic systems:
www.NintendoAge.com
www.silvermoonxtreme.com
www.segaoa.com
www.dreamcast-scene.com
www.colecovisionzone.com

Problem with that list, and perhaps the reason people don't use it, is because it is inconclusive. No Nintendo Age, Digital Press, etc. So it's better to ask, and not use that website everyone thinks is magic.

I don't use the DP site for much of anything other than the guide, and rarely at that. I only use the forums. I like it here.

I use it for the rarity guide and classic games. Modern gaming I tend (tho rarely) to browse other forums for.

Next time you're at McDonald's, ask them for a list of all the other places in town that sell hamburgers and see how much effort they put into it.

I just post on the forums. I hardly even use the rarity guide.

If you frequent reddit, there's always the Retrogames (http://reddit.com/r/retrogames) subreddit.

I would, except they're a business. This is just an internet forum, with a bunch of people united for one common discussion. Nothing would be lost by referring someone to a different place. If I were on an internet forum discussing fast food, arguing amongs McDonald's trolls and Burger King fanboys, I'd ask.

They have at least one article a month like RetroGaming 101: A Collection of Beginners’ Guides, Holy Grails , or Cheapest Video Games Worth Your Time. There is more. they also have high-quality forums

Reading over TC's requirements, a couple sprung to mind:
1) Gametz.com is great for buying/selling/trading games. I never venture into the discussion areas tho.
2) I'll second (or third or whatever it is) the recommendation of racketboy.com - and the forums are another good place to buy/sell/trade as well as discuss games.
3) For retro import gaming, I hang out at the risingstuff.com forums a lot. There's also a sporadically updated blog and a chat room.
4) As bad as certain forums on this site can be, gamefaqs.com is another site whose forums I frequent regularly. Just stick to console forums, and stick to consoles like Genesis, NES, SNES, Dreamcast, and the like, and you'll find friendly and lively discussions of all things... those consoles. :)

I split my time mostly between here, Atariage, and CGCC.ca with a light sprinkling of Nintendoage for good measure.

Dont leave out the main Turbografx site! http://pcenginefx.com/main/
videogamecritic.net (www.videogamecritic.net) is a great site if you're looking for short, easy to read reviews for a wide variety of consoles. He reviews games for over 30 different systems and updates often.
