Hello all!

I need to come up-front with $900 for a surgical tooth extraction (with anestesia) so I'm looking to sell whatever I can.

Anything that doesn't belong to my miggy or Sega CDX has to go!

Usual caveats - Paypal for cash, not looking for much in trade unless you have an external Amiga floppy drive or two. Shipping not included with prices.

NES:

1 Fully working NES toaster deck with power (genny 1 cord), RF, two controllers and Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt. Has original 72 pin, has not been refurbished but doesn't apparently need it. All my games work fine first boot with it. :)

-$25 SOLD

3X bare NES toaster decks, 72-pins need either cleaning, refurbishing or replacement but decks work great otherwise.

-$8 a deck ALL 3 SOLD

loose NES games -

Mike Tyson's Punch out (has two Price chopper stickers on the label) - $8 SOLD
Super Mario Bros. 3 - $8
Duck Tales (ripped/worn label) - $5
Final Fantasy (near mint cart - save battery works great) - $8 SOLD

Atari 600XL w/ 64K RAM upgrade (hand soldered in)

Loose but great condition 600XL with 64K of RAM added in by me. Has worked great for the last 8 months I've had it. Comes with PSU, RF cable and SIO2PC (serial) interface so you can use APE software to send disk images right to the computer. Run any disk based game/app for the A8 off your PC.

$65 firm for the package - $70 if you want me to throw in a Genesis pad to use as a controller.

I also have an untested O2 deck if anyone's interested. Wired joysticks, no PSU but looks ok. $5 plus shipping.

Have a couple "Project" laptops:

1) Sony Vaio laptop from 1996. Meant to run Win95. It's a pentium 1, has 256M of RAM and would make a great mini-DOSBox or possibly a target for 64HDD. Comes with power supply - battery included but does not hold a charge.

$35 + shipping

2) Dell Inspiron 4000 which powers on but... then shuts itself off. It worked previously but I nabbed a RAM card out of it (it had 2) for another laptop and now it's not working. I doubt I static shocked it so maybe just needs the other RAM module in there.

$20 + shipping

PS2 FAT w/ Network Adaptor, 10Gig HDD and Free McBoot memory card.

Just as stated. Comes with one controller, A/V and power cord. Lens recently cleaned and tweaked so DRE's shouldn't be a problem. I've run imports and done backups of my own games with it with great success.

$100 + shipping

WANT LIST:

The only things I could really use are:

External Amiga floppy drive
Addons for an A500
a PS2 -> USB adaptor
or if anyone has a spare Saturn USB pad

I can snap pics if anyone's curious!

Why $900? Is it a wisdom tooth? Lat time I had a tooth removed it only cost about $300. No insurance either, just $300 cash. Are they putting you to sleep?

Yep - surgical extraction, not a regular dentist pull. The anesthesia's the price killer. Not that I have $300 either, really, but it would be an easier goal. :)

You say you need $900 but you've only listed a few hundred worth of stuff. =p You might want to look into some place like Dr. Beauchamp, where you can make payments instead of paying in one lump sum.

Or come to my hometown. It'll only cost you like $400 down here (no joke!)

Yeah, I know it's not enough to cover the full amount but I'm selling other, larger items via craigslist locally and getting my dead car junked for scrap metal money. I'm undergoing credit settlement and everywhere around here likes to do these CareCredit medical credit card things for financing. My credit score until settlement is over is essentially zero so I won't even qualify for that.

I only put up stuff I figured you all might be interested in. Otherwise it's excess furniture and other assorted whatnot.

You could consider getting it done at a dental school. They're usually really cheap. I know someone that has all their dental work done at one. Dental work is usually scary enough though, so it would all depending on how brave you are.

I had all four of mine taken out with surgical extraction. It wasn't cheap and I had to set up a payment plan (I have no dental insurance) but you will feel much better after you recover. Just keep sticking tea bags back on the surgical area (the doctor will suggest that and for some reason it actually helps) and use your pain killers wisely:)

Yeah dental school's a good idea, tho a lot of them have long waiting lists. But any major college will have a dental school and they're always looking for patients. And sorry if I came off sounding crabby in my other post, didn't mean any offense, I was generally curious. Good luck w/ your sales here and on CL. :)

Thank ye, things are actually looking pretty good - my boss said she'd front me a bit too to help out so - I may or may not add to this as time goes on but everything up is still up for now :)

No offense taken mobius - I'm just in a really odd situation and this seemed the easiest route. :D
