GOLDEN KEYS

So I went to visit my parents in the small town where they live about 80 miles north of Phoenix this weekend. While rummaging through a couple thrift stores up there I came across some systems I don't usually see in the wild.
I stopped at Goodwill and of course headed right for the glass cases and found a 3DO with a plastic bag on top holding its cords, controller and three boxed games. The price was $140 which seemed pretty high but then again, I don't really know what these systems are worth. I passed but next Saturday is half off day...
Also, on the shelf above it, there was an Atari Lynx inside it's little portable bag. The tag said $150 and also mentioned that it "needs work". My wife asked what it was and as I was explaining it to her, the middle aged guy next to me ran and got a sales clerk and asked to look at it. She pulled it out and started to hand it to me (I guess since I was at the front of the case) and he snatched it out of her hands before she could... not that I wanted it, just seemed kind of funny. He brought it over to an outlet to test it out and after fiddling with it for awhile he brought it up to the counter and paid.
Next, we checked out an independent thrift store which had some cool and older stuff but nothing specific really stood out to me. As I passed a pile of old alarm clocks, I saw this grey device that kind of looked like a CD player without speakers. I picked it up and looked it over for a few seconds but then tossed it back into the pile.
It kind of stuck with me, though... I started wondering if it was a Philips Cd-i and after googling a picture I realized it was. I didn't see a price but I'm assuming it was cheap since it was in a pile of alarm clocks. It didn't have cords, controllers or games with it, though.
I usually don't collect "newer" systems so I don't really know the value of these items... can anyone help?
