Have a few, was wondering if there is a tool like for a lot of the other systems that allow for renaming etc.

Yeah. It's called "the right click."

OP is looking for a "Good###" renamer probably which names games according to some parameter such as release number, group name, region.

but if you're looking for a faster way to rename files, I use "oscar's renamer"

Yeah. It's called "the right click."

Oh really? Is that how you would rename, sort, and categorize almost 4,000 NDS roms? Would you manually go through each header with a hex editor and determine which country they're from and which version or release they are?

Rominator (http://www.rominator.net) is still my favorite. I think they're about 20 ROMs behind the official release list (which isn't bad). I never could get NDScrc to work right and finally gave up on it.

found what looks to be the answer called DS Rom Tool. And flacks right its just not feasible to right click and rename a couple hundred roms, while technically possible, I have better uses of my time.

clrmamepro (http://mamedev.emulab.it/clrmamepro/) and a No-Intro .DAT (http://datomatic.no-intro.org/) (rom data) file is the best method.
