The only game that Bungie hasn't done is Halo Wars.

ODST is Bungie's second to last Halo game that they will be working on(the last will be Halo Reach). Also, Bungie didn't sell the Halo rights. Microsoft acquired them when they bought Bungie before the release of Halo 1.
Back on topic, I'm sure that this news surprises absolutely nobody. Rather you love or hate the Halo franchise, everybody knows how insanely popular it is. And thats why, despite Halo 3 being a 360 exclusive, it still outsold several games that were multiplatform.

Yeah some people buy Xbox brand systems just to play the Halo games and barely touch anything else. I take a look at friends' Xbox and Xbox 360 collections and all I see are sports and shooters. And Halo 1,2 & 3 are always present.

There are the Metroid Prime games and Mario Sports/Wii Sports titles.
Although dao2 meant people usually buy a Nintendo for first party games only. Don't know why though, though. Nintendo's first party games have sucked for quite awhile, aside from SSBB Wii Sports, with Wii Sports Resort and Metroid the Other M looking good(though the Other M is by Team Ninja.)

Let's all just agree that the 'sports and shooters' crowds snub their nose at the 'mario and zelda' crowds and vice versa and move on.
The list of all time best sellers is fun to look at. Nobody is touching #1 anytime soon (Wii Sports). Or likely Nintendo's domination ever (top 12 titles are all theirs).
