Most game mags I've seen are trashing it (in fact, EGM tied it with another game as "Turd of the Month"). Most non-game, horror/sci-fi magazines love it. I'm in the middle here - I'm a huge ED fan, so that may color my opinion somewhat. Speaking from a strictly gameplay-point of view, though, I'd have to say that while it's nowhere near perfect, it's still is a decent beat-em-up - certainly better than the buggy RE clone that was Evil Dead: Hail To The King.

Have any of you played it? If so, what do you think of it? Was EGM's "Turd of the Month" rating justified, or are they smoking crack?

I've played it.

And I'm enjoying it.

Don't set your expectation too high and you'll be OK. It isn't MGS. It is a low budget slash em. It's a $20 game. It has deadites. What do you want ?

I have to say that I enjoy the two button attack setup. Works good. Couple of slashes with the chainsaw and *BANG* with the boomstick. he he he he

"Got the time? Aww, what do you care? You're dead!"

I love that line.

I agree... it's no MGS, but it's damned fun. That's the important part, after all.

I'll play it.

I just want to play a game with boomstick in the title.
