Anyone know the trade in value for a regular PSX to Gamestops?

$10 for a PSX with regular controller
$25 for a PSX with Dual Shock
Call to make sure before you go. Prices change daily

That's crazy!! No Digital Press brother's gonna be selling their PSX for $10!!!
Unless, of course, it's in bad shape.

Aechika: You folks go by whether they have dual shock or not? Up here we go by if their system has the single entry for the AV cords (much like what the PS2 uses) or if it has the three AV inputs themselves on the back. The 1 AV being $25 and the AV input version getting $10.
either way it sucks though.

Its been some time since we paid that much. I believe we are currently giving $6 in trade and $4 in cash for a Playstation 1.
Then again we have over 50 in stock so there seems to be no reduction in trade ins with the low offers. We are currently selling the system for $20.00. I believe it will behave in the marketplace very much like the black and white gameboy. If you have a PS2 whats the point of owning a Playstation 1?

Wtf did you expect? It makes perfect sense that they'll be so damned stingy; they probably don't even make money after they deal with all the bad ones they get back.
It could be worse, though; look at the depreciation rate for used cars. Ow.
