Welcome!

And no, it's not legitimate.

That looks extremely not legit to me. The disclaimer at the bottom makes it clear they're selling games without permission.

They don't have Imperialism 2, but GOG (http://www.gog.com) is a good place to buy older PC games.

Amazon is your best bet. Seller is selling it for $25. If you are lucky, you maybe able to find in thrifty store.

Aside from GOG.com, steampowered.com and gamersgate.com also have a reasonable selection of older games as of late. Sacrifice and Kingpin just went up on Steam, for instance.

Otherwise, it's hard to beat the selection at cdaccess.com, though it is quite easy to beat the prices there.

GameTap has a few on their subscription service and their Download to Own store.

Speaking of sites that don't offer legit downloads. :P

Steam, GoodOldGames and GameTap are good choices. Good Old Games has tons of classic games up, many more than Steam. And GOG actually bothers to test everything instead of releasing crappy DOSBox hacks which barely run the game right. I can't help you with GameTap, that ain't available to me because I live in Mexico. :(

The PC fighting games Super Fighter (aka Fatal Encounter) and Sango Fighter have both been reclassified as freeware, and can legally be downloaded from superfighter.net (http://www.superfighter.net/) and sangofighter.com (http://www.sangofighter.com/), respectively. Enjoy!

URL Removed by PapaStu. We do not promote/condone the DL of teh romz. From our FAQ

Out of respect to retrogaming stores, game developers, and growing legal concerns, discussion about the obtaining of illegal ROMs is prohibited. Illegal ROMs are defined as any ROM, regardless of age, that has been copyrighted in the past 100 years. Threads discussing the location or acquiring of ROMs and/or illegal (pirated) software will be locked per the discretion of a forum moderator or administrator. To avoid legal issues, "gray area" threads dealing with emulation may also be locked. As companies continue to release retro games through virtual releases or retro gaming packs for modern gaming systems, the threat of getting a cease-and-desist order grows. In order to preserve the gaming community we've all worked so hard to build, we ask that you respect Digital Press and refrain from the discussion of illegal ROMs.

its a private torrent site that got like every old pc game plus console roms and shit

Actually, wouldn't this be the spam?

This is a good site for some older PC games, cheap, DRM free, downloadable, etc.:

I don't get it... if we can't link to "Illegal Roms", then how come they do that every week in the Monday Morning MAME Club?

The best route is to go onto Google, and search for "Game + Download"

Last time I checked (during the time of the Uru Live beta), GameTap WAS NOT running anything remotely close to DOSbox hacks. The games were running very well, my only concern was that they used blur on older games.

I noticed that Steam recently released Kingpin...pretty cool. Wonder how far behind Redneck Rampage is? YEP, XATRIX ENTERTAINMENT!
