Yep, I am meeting this guy tomorrow morning and getting my hands on what I hope to be a new, pristine Apple IIc Computer. I will be filming the unboxing of this and I am pretty sure I will feel just as excited now as I did 25 years ago when my parents surprised me with one back in 1984-85.
It is interesting to note that a new, unopened Apple IIc sold for around $2600 back in 2008: http://www.macworld.com/article/1322...02/apple2.html
This one has been opened but I am told was never used and looks as good as the day it was new all those years ago.
Now I have an Apple IIc now, but I am hoping this one truely looks like new. All shiney and white. This truly is a beautiful computer. And it also had some great games!
Look for videos posted tomorrow

Sounds like a good deal. I recently got a few Apple IIGS's with stuff, and it's all in pretty good condition.
I would recommend using ADTPro for backing up/downloading programs, I just ordered the cables I need to use it tonight:

What does that stuff allow you to do? My unboxing movie is uploading to Youtube now. Posting it soon.

I posted some info over here about it (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/showthread.php?t=134784), but here it is...
That's another cool thing about ADTPro, you can send data the other way as well. You can make a .dsk image of a floppy in the drive, effectively making a hard copy of games with saved data, character disks, pretty much anything. Then you can archive your stuff in a less volatile format than aging 5.25" floppies.
The real trip is you can play a game on your Apple II, send the disk over to your modern computer with ADTPro and make a .dsk file of it, resume play via an Apple II emulator (if you're traveling for instance), then when you get back send the .dsk file back over to a 5.25" floppy in your Apple II drive, and then resume play on the actual hardware. It only takes about 20 seconds to send the data via a serial connection and the ADTPro application basically runs as a silent server on the host computer. It's a strange to have computers that are 30 years apart directly connected to one another and sharing files.
All the info about it, what cable to use, how to connect it all, how to set it up, etc. is at the ADTPro website, complete with videos.

Wow, I am soooooooooo jealous, I want one of those for long time. Apple ][s were never popular in Europe (Although I used to have an Apple ][). Have fun with this awesome machine. Can't wait what's in those boxes.

not to sound mean here but you in your video were hoping it works.... Now you have decided to sell it??
So I can sort-of understand this you bought it to re-sell?

I had a IIc already but with the color monitor -- not with a green monitor (which is what I had originally). Also, the one I had doesn't seem to boot some disks or maybe some of my disks are bad, not sure on that one. The one I just got seems to be working a bit better so I am essentially replacing the one I had :) Oh, and I am keeping the boxes too. So ya, I am keeping all of it and selling off my other one.

Put the camera on a stable surface when you're just shooting at a stationary object, nobody will mind the fact there's no movement and most importantly you'll get rid of that nasty "jello effect." If you're using a camera that has threads on the bottom, you can get a cheap old tabletop tripod for a few bucks that will let you pan and tilt around and lock it into position. If that doesn't work, pile some stuff up and swivel it back and forth on top of that.
What's the camera, by the way? Canon 500D/T1i? Nikon D90? A point-and-shoot?
Back on topic, wow, that box is making me feel nostalgic. Apple had good style back in those days (actually I feel Microsoft did as well).

Just a quick question: exactly how much did you pay for this again?

Congrats! Since I grew up with the Apple II I'm a bit biased towards it, and it's one of my favorite computers. I had an Apple IIe growing up (almost had a IIgs but they got delayed for a few months), but my best friend had a IIc. The IIc is snazzy looking, but I never liked the tiny little monitor that was the standard with the system (you could hook it up to any monitor though). There's also a lack of expandability due to the tiny case, but there are other solutions for that these days.
Color me jealous. :) Then again, I still have and use my complete and boxed Apple IIe.
