looks very cool indeed, i'd love to play the 3-D zeldas (especially the n64 ones) in 2d, just look at the screenshot with the horse, it looks great, i think we can expect a good game here!!

yeah, the dungeouns would seem to be the biggest obstacles in that endeavor... how the water temple in ocarina would be done i have no idea. still a pretty cool idea though, i'd like to see it finished. although, something like that would take massive amounts of time

Indeed. Converting any of those games to 2D will be an extraordinary undertaking, and will require Daniel to be 1) an expert programmer, 2) an expert designer (since he'll have to rejigger virtually every game), and 3) a wonderful graphic artist. It's a fascinating experiment, though, and I wonder if he'll ever complete one.

I think 2D gamers get a little over zealous about how 'bad' 3D gaming is, but I digress. Interesting idea - if he pulls it off entirely I'd be suprised.
