For whatever reason I was thinking about this today and it's kind of baffling to me why Sony wouldn't have included a camera on the PSPGO? I mean the DSI and many other portable devices I can think of have a camera. I don't know if it's a feature I would necessarily use a lot, but it would be nice to have the option. Maybe it's kind of a useless feature to have on a portable gaming system, I don't know? Maybe they didn't include it because it might drive up manufacturing costs, who knows?

Just how useful is the camera in the DSi? I see it the other way around - why would you include a camera in a portable system at all?

No....I do know a couple of things that they should have included though. (UMD support hrmm)

They made the right choice. It's a useless gimmick.
Although the PSPGo itself is a huge gimmick, so whatever.

Yeah I agree, I think the GO could be a great device, but it feels like a gimmick just to compete with the ipod touch and itunes, we'll see though?

So you think the PspGo should have included a camera just because the DSi has one? Why? I mean, that would be about as bad as adding second rate motion controls to the PS3 controller just because the Wiimote has motion sensing controls. Wait a minute.....

I don't care for the camera on the DSi and I wouldn't have cared if it were added to the PSPGo. Nuff said.

A removable battery would have been nice.
Wonder what they'll charge to replace it for you?

I don't think Sony should have necessarily added a camera to the PSP just the cuz the DSI has one, just curious why they didn't, that's all.

You know Sony's got troubles with strategic vision when they invented the damn portable music player but they're calling their device the "Go" edition. As if you couldn't already "Go" with the previous one, and not be tethered to the Internet for game downloads.

I think it's an interesting question: My opinion is that they were wise not to, as it keeps the costs down.

UMD > User Replaceable Battery > Second Analog > (tons of other features) > Camera > Scratch and Sniff Case

This is a good question considering one of their big holiday releases "Invizamals" requires a camera attachment to function. I personally like the whole camera gimmick in a handheld, but have yet to see a good game use for it.

Depending on how successful PSPGo, Sony may release the PSP phone with Camera.

If they are planning to release it, then I'll wait.
