I wouldn't worry too much about the power supply. The NES is a power goat, meaning that it will eat anything from 9VAC to 12VDC at least from what I've seen. I do believe that 9VAC is the proper voltage, though.

Thanks for the advice. The one I have next to it is 9V, so it should work.
