I stumbled upon one of these at the flea market today. It's new, but the box is crushed. I saw the DP guide list it at $15 complete, and there's one of these listed on eBay with a $99.99 BIN / Best Offer price.

Frankly, I don't think it's worth $100. So how much is this worth?

around $20

Kitsune: your new avatar is decidedly un-cute. I am disappointed in you ;)

(edit: that became post 1000. lol)

You, my dear, have very poor taste in men. ;)

It's a Mexican actor named Mauricio Garcés. He was a comedian, and one of my favorite actors from Mexican cinema. He died about twenty years ago. One of his nicknames? The silver fox. So the avatar still fits me!

i woulda put it at like 85 or so, I mean you weren't even expecting 100 so you're not really losing anything

I listed it for $99.99 with an offer option. What do I have to lose? :p

Well nothing actually. If they wanted it for 85 they'd ask, ha.

Not even that, eBay gave me a free listing for some reason. Haw.

Well aren't you the lucky ducky. :) They must be trying to entice people to make auctions now.

Everybody's first 3 auctions are free every 30 days. I don't know how long it will last, but its a pretty good deal, nontheless. :)

Before you let that auction sit and hopefully sell it for about what you saw that one go for.........

Sure listing it is free for you but you'll end up paying more in fees on the back end if your item is selling for a high enough amount. I don't think it would make a huge difference in your case (a buck or a few bucks) but in the end your not really saving money on fees over a certain price.

This is just another trick on eBay's part IMO to make more money like when they redid everything last September and the whole free shipping advantages thing.

I just checked my fees on eBay, and it appears that I was in fact charged the standard listing rate for video games.

Hooray for monopolies.

Weird, my email said three.

You should probably contact them on that one. I just listed a couple of games last week and I wasn't charged a cent.

Looks like their new promotion has some issues...

Did you list it true the website or the Turbo lister ? The free listings are only thru the website.

I don't use Turbo Lister very often, the damn thing keeps screwing up my listings.

Looking at what you've sold recently it looks as if you do BINs for many of your listings on eBay. The 5 free listing deal every 30 days (not every month) is only for auctions and not for BIN listings.

Looking at your Game Guru though you've only got a nickel to lose if it doesn't sell :D
