Is Haze worth $15, or does it stink that bad? I wanted it when it first came out but read horrible reviews on it.

If you take the FPS pedigree of Free Radical Design (Goldeneye 64, Timesplitters Series) into consideration - It's pretty awful.

It has some nice graphics in sections, but overall the game feels like a bad PS2 FPS.

I picked it up from Gamefly for $10 w/free shipping and I felt like I spent too much.

I haven't played it yet but it was Famitsu magazine's 14th highest rated PS3 game in 2008, so maybe it's worth a try?

I think this is the general consensus around these parts.

Didn't the PS3 only get 14 games in 2008? ;)

OH! Thank you folks, enjoy the veal!

Considering Japanese gamers prefer dating simulators over fps's(or any genre over them for that matter) you should take that rating with a grain of salt.

I purchased my copy at Sears for $9.99 but because I don't have a PS3 I haven't played it yet. But considering I've been weened on the awesome top-of-the-food-chain fps's of the Xbox consoles over the last two generations I'm very sketical of how much I will actually like this game. But the good news is that, if you can still find it at you local Sears it will be clearanced down to $2.97.

On a system that has good exclusive FPS'es like Killzone 2 and Resistance (R2 also has online co-op) I think you'd be better of spending the extra cash and on those, R2 is probably going to see a Greatest Hits release soon.

Haze was $7.99 used at Gamestop. I picked it up for $5 something (w/Edge card) a few months ago. Now it's $14.99 used. Did I miss something? Why did it go up in price? Did they see an increase in demand? The game is terrible.

I've also noticed that sometimes Gamestop mysteriously raises game prices. They did this with both Guily Gear X and X2(both PS2) from $10-15 each to $25-30 each. They also did it with Silent Hill 3(PS2) and raised it from $14.99 used to $29.99 used. Maybe they noticed a spike in ebay prices or something.

I picked up a $8 used copy of Haze on Black Friday. Like everone has said Haze is awful. I came into this game knowing it was bad, but wanted to see how bad it was for myself since I am a big fan of Free Radical because of the Timesplitters series.

I made a rant about the problems of this game on my blog (I had to edit it on gamespot, but there is a link on there for my blogger.com blog with all the cursing intact haha)

Also picked it up dirt cheap at a local pawn shop complete, just haven't tried it out yet. My friend who bought it on release said it's not as bad as everyone makes it out to be...hmm we'll see if I agree when I start it up soon.

It's definitely not the worst game I've ever played but it is terribly generic and the plot twist if you can call it that is pretty lame. The AI does say some rather odd and entertaining things at times though
'IS THERE A MEDAL FOR MOST BAD ASS GANGSTA? CUZ' THATS ME!'
