Killzone 2 was cool but kinda disappointing, good game for what ps3 has to offer, I guess. I think I would have been totally happy just renting...it's single player and was over really fast. For xbox my last mistake was MirrorsEdge, cool different perspective got me, but wasnt worth the purchase i think. Now I'm running pretty much all my games through gamefly to avoid mistakes.

What games have you bought that you should have just rented. List the game and give a reason.

Ghostbusters - I know that a lot of people have raved about the game, but as much as I tried to get into the game, I just simply thought it sucked. Maybe it's because I'm not a big Ghostbusters fan, but I ended up wishing I never bough it.

I'm totally nostalgic about Ghostbusters movies, I rented the game and got a kick out of it for a little but like most Movie to Videogames I gotta agree its just not worth it either.

Gundam Crossfire and Gundam Seed Never Ending Tomorrow

I like Gundam games because nearly all of them have been good on all systems PS2 onward, plus I'm a Gundam fan. These two games were terrible.

I would say Gundam Seed Never Ending Tomorrow has some redeeming value if you like the series due to all the Encyclopedias in the game giving you tons of information about the series suits, characters, areas, even a sortof detailed scripting in storying. You have to bear through the terrible gameplay to get all the encylopedias, but after it's nice if you're a fan. Too bad I'm not too much of a fan of Gundam Seed.

Eat Led, It was a fun little game, a lot of funny parts and played pretty good but it was just far to short with practically no re-playability so would been better to just rent.

Star Trek Legacy for the XBOX 360. Payed 60 bucks for it and beat it within a day.

Turning Point: Fall of Liberty - Cool idea, just really boring which is to bad.

I tried Turning Point, fail.

I think most games are better to just gamefly. A few good single players and of course if multiplayer or online games they're good enough are worth owning. Otherwise they're not getting my $60 anymore

[PROTOTYPE]

It really was a great game overall, and I like how you can complete a mission with any number of different approaches; covertly, hijacking tanks or helicopters, using human weapons, or using mutant powers. Once you beat the game though, the game's just not as exciting any more. The plot is spoiled, the environments are too repeditive, and it just gets stale.

I'm glad I played it, but I should have rented it, or waited for it to hit the bargain bin.

Super Castlevania IV. I've heard nothing but good things about it so I sntahced it up. It was one of the most frustrating Castlevania's I have ever played. There are a few good levels but I definitely won't be replaying it anytime soon. But atleast I didn't pay full retail for it.

You've heard nothing but good things about it because it's one of the best games ever made. It's the best non RPG games ever made atleast.

Actually it just goes to show that you can't always believe everything you hear. I played it and didn't like it=it wasn't good to me. End of story.

Fuel... I'd like it a lot more if the AI didn't cheat so badly on hard mode.

Lord of the Rings : Conquest.

Did I enjoy it? Yes. Did I like it? Yes. Could I have unlocked everything including trophies in one rental? Yes.

I should have rented it, but I bought the game out of pure loyalty to the developer and genre. Imo the game is very underrated, but I wouldn't expect the average Joe to spend $60 on it, but I did. :)

Yes, Super Castlevania IV was only worth a look during the first year of the Super NES. And even then it merited only a rental.

Endless Ocean - DAMN did this game bore me

Animal Crossing: City Folk - My wife loves AC and even she hated this....why can't they make a NEW game with the AC IP???? Bastards.

The Darkness - *yawn*

Viva Pinata - It's neat and all...but I got bored FAST on this one as well.

Blue Dragon - a tedious RPG....nothing top tier like I'd hoped

Enchanted Arms - same as Blue Dragon

I'm sure there's more as well. That being said....I don't rent anything ever. I stopped renting a long time ago and I'll never rent again.

Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz (Wii).
It's like the worst Monkey Ball game ever. A million mini-games and 3 of them worth playing. The Wii controls are ok for this kind of game, but tedious.

Simpsons Game (Wii)
A simple rental would have kept this crap heap from reeking up my collection. The game is really clunky, the two player mode is dismal, and the whole thing takes about 45 mins. to beat. Snore.

I gotta agree with you on this one. I love the Castlevania series but I always felt Super Castlevania IV is THE most overrated one...

Another game I wished I had rented was Eternal Sonata. Ugh..I wanted to like this game so much but it was just sooo boring and I barely made it through a few hours of play....

I like the og Castlevania, but havent played IV

Clearly there are game that suck but others I guess are really subjective, thats why being able to play the game then decide to buy like with gamefly is so essential.

Super Castlevania IV is one of my all-time favorites. No RPG elements, no adventure elements, just straight-up action. Beat one level, go to the next...no items to collect, no tornadoes to wait for, no people to talk to. It's Castlevania at its purest. (Plus, it features some of the best video game music ever.)

I like the og Castlevania, but havent played IV

If you like the original, you'll like IV. They both feature the same classic design philosophy: beat one level, go to the next. I prefer that style over the "Metroidvania" style.
