Anyone else playing this?

I have been really surprised how fun it is, there's obviously alot of research and development that went into this.

It's basically a casual MMO, but damn so many of these minigames are fun, the kart racing especially! There is also a cooking mama minigame, nintendogs type pet raising and the brawler fighting segments are just brilliant with great animation and very smart difficulty that is progressive.

This is obviously marketed as a casual MMO, but I believe they have tapped into something more here that will be utilized by many hardcore MMORPG's. It's all around a very well rounded and smooth experience, the interface in particular is incredibly intuitive. I'm using Xpadder (http://www.xpadder.com/) so I can use the Xbox 360 usb controller for the time being and it works perfectly as really the game is designed for controllers as it's also coming to PS3.

I've read that this will be free on PS3, so will it be a (large) PSN game or is it just free to play online and we'll have to buy the disc?

It will be a free download off the PSN store and will stream the same way as the pc version, which is to say, very well.

It's really cool to play the game now knowing I can play it later on the PS3.

I haven't downloaded and tried it on here because I've been waiting for the PS3 release to try it out. Supposedly it'll be released sometime this year.

Looks pretty gay, but free.

It makes me wonder. Do you think after Free Realms is active on the PS3. All those people who stand all day at home. Do you think Home will have less people? I mean two free services, Free Realms is going to be the obvious better one due to being an MMO and Home pretty much lacks everything(though I guess is slightly worth going on to do some things, like play a game of Texas Holdem with friends for free) or some other things.

You got a good point there Kupomogli, Home will obviously have less people considering Free Realms is much better but since Home has all the specific game areas, they will not shut Home down not to mention that Cancer fundraising thing too. In the long run after 2-3 years all the specific game areas and the cancer fundraising evet will be in Free Realms. MAYBE. I hope not though considering I'm looking forward to Home when i get a slim PS3.

It's fine so it'll make an excellent time waster when I get a ps3.

After atleast three years of it being mentioned it's going to the PS3, Free Realms is FINALLY getting a PS3 release. It's release date is on March 29.
