Hello. I'm looking to get an import GC, but I don't know the cheapest site to try. I don't want to pay through the roof, and I cannot speak japanese<yet>. Can someone help me out? Thanks.

Question:

What's so important about an import GCN? Why not just get one of the Freeloaders? I've got one and it works great for both PAL & NTSC-J. HELLUVA lot cheaper too.

If you are intent in getting an import GCN try NCSX.net and Videogamedepot.com should have some still

www.videogameimports.com might have some too. Just go with Freeloader.

The two sites Achika mentioned are great import stores. The systems they sell are pre-modded, that let you switch the system bewteen U.S. and JP mode.

If you already have a U.S. system you can send it to one of those sites to have them modify it, or you can buy the Freeloader/Action Replay. It is a simple swap disc. The only "problem" with the Freeloader is that it'll display Japanese text as ANSI gibberish on some games. That isn't too big of a deal if you can't read Japanese, but can get a little annoying. Other than that the Freeloader seems to work great.

I just want the limited edition Tales GC coming out soon.
I love the Tales series. Thanks for the Freeloader info, although I already knew about it.

Well, if it's an LE edition, don't expect anywhere to sell it "cheap". In fact, expect about $30-75 more than a normal NTSC-J console.
