For all those major collectors, especially those who are working to get a complete Working Designs collection.

There are nine different artworks for the Playstation game Alundra. Does anyone have all nine? How hard do you guys think it would be to actually get mint condition copy of them all and would you?

Already done.

It's 8 actually. #9 was apparently never printed, as said by Victor Ireland, CEO of Working Designs. I should have been the image of I think Alundra's father with the blue bad guy background.

1. If you're going for every copy 100% complete (all alundras have maps, etc) be prepared for a financial and mental breakdown, as I spent several months emailing every single ebay auction person who had no picture what image they had.

2. It's only worth it if you want 10 games taking up the space of 27.

But yet you stay sane, DB. How do you do it?

That looks awesome. How long did that take you? Would you recommend it's worth going through the trouble to do?

*edit*

Nevermind. Several months. Man. And Alundra is hard to find online these days. It pops up rarely in comparison to how much you saw it online before. If it took you that long think of how long trying to do it now. Kind of a deterrent.

Is there a similar catalog of Working Designs games for the other systems?

I was raised in a collector's family. I spent many childhood hours sitting in an antique store back room or wandering malls while they set up booths for antique shows. It also helps that I love find variants in everything. Hell, I cracked my works "check digit" program for shipping labels out of 15 minutes of boredom ;)

Kind of a deterrent.
Not a deterrent if you look at it as a blessing in disguise. Instead of spending $300 a month on the same game, now you just spend $50 to 60 a month. Plus this allows you to keep looking for other stuff. When I was striking out on random PSX things, I switched over to Saturn.

RPGamer might have something. Now that I opened up the Saturn side of my web-site, I'll be focusing on those variants...except THAT will be a while since WD Saturn games are usually $60 to $100 each. >_>

Yet you had no notion of it until I said hey lookie here! >_>

Honestly it took us a long while because we didn't know how many there were at first. I was just buying copies and sending sellers pics of what I had and hoping they had something I didn't. We get told 9 by Vic, and proceeded to continue to hunt for the last one for many moons before we found the cover grab and then got the word that #9 for whatever reason never made it out of the gate. So you could say years, but we both had our 8 over the course of a month or two. I probably spent about 3 or 4 months getting the Alundra's and other WD games together. Longest hunt was for one of the Lunar SSSC Fan Editions for me at the time.

Not true...I had variant comic covers and the like when i was a teen.

I just didn't hit my frothing at the mouth, staying up till 4 in the morning looking at PSRM digits until *you* showed up.

Bastard.
