Another new Dreamcast title announced today, not Rush Rush.

Goat Store Publishing announced today that they are handling the Dreamcast release of Irides, a game that is like Lumines, but also has multiplayer modes on the Dreamcast release. With Feet of Fury, Inhabitants, Cool Herders and Maquipai under their belts, this is a cool addition to their line up and their fifth release. Just for the record, Goat Store Publishing release their games on factory pressed CD's with manuals and case artwork. No CD-R's here folks. Nice and neat, just like the original Dreamcast releases except on CD instead of GD's.

Yeah, they are taking preorders right now too. Nice to see some new Dreamcast games.

Yeah, it's nice to see new games, but it's a little bit of a letdown to find that the new game is running on such high powered hardware but it's a simple puzzle game. Yes, it has nice digitized graphics, but still.

I'll be excited when an original 3D action-adventure title is released by the homebrew community. After seeing piles and piles of homebrew puzzle games for PSP, this really doesn't faze me.

If something can be done just as well in Flash, I just don't see the point of publishing it for a console. Still, I can't complain too much. Something's better than nothing.

I just can't get excited about shareware shovelware just because its running on a console system, make something that actually uses the console's hardware in some interesting way and you might get my money.
