Shipping cost becomes cheap...

So i bought a bunch of japanese DC magazines on ebay. It's 15$ for shipping if you win one actution. It says in the auction:

"Sending simultaneously is possible when you buy two or more items.(Shipping cost becomes cheap)"

So i'm thinking it's gonna be all combined and it'll be like maybe 30$ and at the low price of the magazines each, it won't be very expensive...

Then the seller emails me with:

"Goods total amount of money $32.00
------------------------------------------------------
Case of E.M.S.

A shipping cost is $162.00 ( North America Area by E.M.S. )

Grand total is 194.00 U.S. dollars."

yeah... cheap... :roll:

So even with combined shipping it's still $5 per magazine to ship them here?

Was I just thinking really stupid?

Maybe you need to explain the concept of combining shipping charges to them. With regard to it not just being the same as adding them up. Good grief.

Sounds like a huge ripoff to me. This is why i almost never buy from Japan. I never had any problems with our jolly British friends though. 8-)

The problem is over a certain weight it must go EMS. I would ask them if they would break them up into smaller units that could ship air mail to see if that'll save any $$. I but a lot from Japan and it does cost $$ to ship EMS. Like one CD = $12 shipping! Or you could always go surface and get your mags in two months or so! :P
