Simple enough really, I am thinking about buying the Japanese version of Power Stone 2 as long as most of it is in English. I know a lot of Japanese games, particularly fighters and shooters, tend to be partially or completely in English. What about Power Stone 2 for the Dreamcast?

Its mainly in Japanese I seem to remember. There is an item combining shop where you make new items and thats all Japanese too. I wouldnt let it hold you back though the game is easily playable without any english in it. Its just some of the finer points which will be more difficult, although they are only an added extra, losing them didnt detract from the fun for me. Its an amazing game and I have only ever owned the JAP copy, but I had a tonne of fun.

Y'know, you can buy Power Stone Collection for the PSP and it will be completely English.

If you post up menu screenshots I'll be more than happy to translate them for you. In fact, that goes out to anyone!

All the characters speak Japanese in the US game, but the announcer, items, and item shop are in English.

You'll lose out on the names of items, and the cheesy announcer voice, but thats it.

And slapping people around with a fish, hitting them with a meteor, or running them down with a motor scooter is fun.

Ah, well, that would be great, except I don't have a PSP, Power Stone 1 and Power Stone 2 came out in the US if I want a NA version, and I'm trying for a complete Dreamcast collection anyway. Otherwise spot on suggestion.

Thanks for all the information everybody. I think I will go with a North American or European release so I don't miss out on the intricacies of Power Stone 2. Plus my guests at any party would probably appreciate it. :)

You're gonna have to collect and mix things to get the good stuff.

Lance of Lava, motor scooter, Mega Man's Mega Buster, a giant sword....
