Hi guys.
I was digging around in a closet today when I found my old Sega Saturn light gun. I vaguely remember that back in the day my brother broke it enough to make Virtua Cop 2 unplayable. So anyway, I plugged it in to see if it did work and to my surprise it does! There is only one minor issue with it.
When you are in game and you've fired a couple of shots, if you leave a short gap of time between firing shots, the next time you pull the trigger, instead of firing, the gun reloads. Hence you get shot in the FACE! I opened the gun up, just to check any PCBs and looked at all the solder joints, which seem to be fine. The only thing I haven't looked at is the connector because there doesn't seem to be any into the connector, not without breaking it.
Does anyone know of similar problems like this and/or how to fix it?
Cheers
