Well, I've been doing some rummaging in the basement of my parents house in search of any "lost gems", and I have found a couple of things that I can't figure out what they are. After some thought, I've decided to make a thread of it. So, feel free to post anything that you're not sure what it is. Hopefully, we can all get an answer to the question "What the Hell is this!?!"

The first item on my list is this...

From what I can tell it is is to an educational system, but I have no idea what.

And then there is this...

It is a power adaptor to something that was made by Texas Instruments

Here is the tip...

So, What the Hell is this stuff?

The bottom one looks suspiciously like what I remember the TI99's power cable looking like, but I'll have to go look.

*moves, but doesn't want to. Too damn early*

Can't find it. But I think it's a TI99 power cord.

It could be... I rememebr my brother having some sort of old computer system when I was young. I am hoping thats what it is, because I'm hoping that it is still in that basement... somewhere...

Hey, I used to have one of those. Never had any cartridges though, just the built in "games". I seem to remember hangman.

The top one is a Cart for "The Learning Window" I can't remember who made it but it required overlays like on an intellivision, but a larger keyboard and would teach various subjects, spelling math etc.. but it would speak to you in a "speak and spell" kind of voice, and had a fairly large lcd screen.

Here's a photo from google images

Hope that helps, the cart woud go under the clear/brown cover on the right.

It was made by VTech. The same company that makes all the learning games/toys today as well. I don't remember it needing overlays, but like I said before, I don't think I had any cartridges for it either.

Thanks for the replies.

I have found another one of those cartridges CIB since posting this thread. Does anyone know if there is any value to these things?

It just shows that my family never throws anything away... but for a person that collect vintage video games and such, that's generally a good thing.
