Metal gear online: anyone here play?

I've only made in to south america in mgs4 story but decided it's time to try mgo and see what it's like. :) damn this game is quite deep. there are lots of modes and many ways to play it. I was surprises to see how deep it is. this makes rainbow six and graw2 look arcade! LOL all the cumstomizing is really cool. and i'm a cumstomization whore. this is not one for the halo crowd.

I've played a couple rounds and there is a good learning curve and only played a couple modes but i had fun. is there a way to get new clothing gear etc. or do i have to spend real $ in the mgo store? also how do you use the text chat feature in the game?? I have a used copy of the game with no instruction manual.

seriously no one around here plays this? I'm in act 4 in stoy mode(i won't spoil anything but lets just say if your a fan of the first mgs you will like :))

I've been playing online for a few days now. starting to get a feels for it. you can do anything you can do in the story mode which makes the online mode feel as deep as the story mode in terms of gameplay. I just hope they release some large indoor maps.

I used to play but I quit since there were (not sure about now) alot of laggers,cheaters,etc.
Yes the MGS4 is pretty amazing. I cannot wait for Rising though.

The game's well over a year old and it was never that popular online to begin with, due a lot to the overly convoluted sign-up process which (as Hitman noted) did nothing to eliminate cheaters.

Eh I heard this wasn't too good but sounds like your enjoying it. If you wanna play with others I'd just go get Killzone 2 or Resistance 2
