This game is simply gorgeous and it seems it has a level of polish and balanced gameplay that will surely put it on the top of game of the year lists. Looks fantastic!

Even on "easy" co-op is not easy.

Great single player and multiplayer, but the co-op really sells it for me.

O_O

Wow. I'm most likely not going to purchase this full price and wait until it atleast gets to 29.99, or atleast some sort of sale, or when I get quite a few of my backlog down, but man it looks amazing. The co-op looks really good too and is definitely a bonus for those who like Uncharted's gameplay.

This is clearly one of the must have games for the system.

I usually have a hard time getting into shooters...but I'm really wanting this. The campaign looks great, the competitive multiplayer looks great, and the co-op looks great. Great job Naughty Dog.

BTW, BHvrd, I see what you did thar.

I have ZERO interest in co-op or multiplayer....but if the single player is as good as they say, I'll be more than happy.

Or as I said 'Oh that's great, the single player is still superb, right?'.

To me, the first game seemed like Tomb Raider with a guy + a cover system. Never understood what the fuss was about. I guess I've just been "Tomb Raidered" out over the years. I think half of the acclaim was, in part, based on secondary factors...i.e...it came out during a time when you could count decent PS3 exclusive games with one hand. It just wasn't my thing. No offense to the multitudes that obviously enjoyed it.

3rd person multiplayer doesn't exactly thrill me either. I'll be sitting this one out.

Yeah the first one was pretty bland IMO. Im looking forward to part 2 cause It looks like the MP will be great.

It sounds like a lot of people in this thread are interested in Uncharted 2 but haven't played Uncharted 1. Do yourself a favor and get it. If you have a PS3, Uncharted is pretty cheap now, like $25-30. And it's arguably the best game on the system.

To the people who said the first game was overhyped, I... well, I'm taking your names and putting them on a list. A bad list. A bad list of bad people. You insult the name of Nathan Drake by putting him in the same breath as Tomb Raider.

Not necessarily. They could have played and finished the game before the trophy patch came out. For example, I haven't beaten the game, haven't got far into actually(after the ship you find past the ruins in the beginning of the game,) but, it was also before the PS3 got trophy support. I could always put the game in the PS3 and let it load for the first time with a trophy enabled PS3 and Uncharted would come up 0%.

The Tomb Raider games always felt clunky to me. Uncharted was the first game in that genre to actually feel real and make it seem like you were actually playing in a summer blockbuster action adventure movie. Great characters, realistic graphics (all the way down to Drake actually getting wet and staying wet after going thru water and the different ways he would land after jumping down from something, or even stumbling across rocks....). By far my in my top 5 favorite games on the PS3

You insult the name of Nathan Drake by putting him in the same breath as Tomb Raider.

The similarities to Tomb Raider were there - the run & jump parkour style moving/scaling, the tomb/jungle settings/aesthetics, the puzzles, etc. but Uncharted had way way WAY more gunplay than any Tomb Raider and did that infinitely better.

Not to mention the story, pacing and action, which also trump any Tomb Raider offering to date.

Not that I have anything against Tomb Raider, there are a few games in that series that are pretty superb for what they are ... and It's tough not to "get" the Tomb Raider comparison, but I think people that played through Uncharted can understand that it's a totally different animal, in fact after playing through I thought the core action felt far more like Gears of War and/or Max Payne than Tomb Raider.

Looking forward to Uncharted 2 for sure.
