I've looked all over online but I haven't been able to find a complete list of all the colored N64 carts, maybe no one cares other than me? Well here I am trying to make another list.

If by "colored" you mean "not grey" then Aidyn Chronicles and Shadowgate are both black.

For the PAL n64 games:

Turok 2 - black

(donkey kong 64 - is regular grey, rayman 2 - is regular grey, zelda oot - is grey - i don't have majora's but I think it's also grey)

Was killer instinct gold ever released as a gold cart? My brother and I had it when it came out, and I could swear that the copy we had was gold colored (like the zelda games). Ive been looking for a gold cart forever and cant find one.

Nope, I got it when it first came out, and it was a plain gray cart.


Was Doom 64 on a black cart? I have a vague feeling it was, but might be confusing it for the red SNES version.

First, for the question about Doom 64, it's a grey cart, I have it. Same goes for Shadowgate 64, which is mentioned in the first post; that cart is grey, not black.

And I know everyone knows it, but it's probably worth noting about the Zelda games that OoT of course was only gold early on, then they made it grey later, and while I think all MM carts are gold, early copies have hologram labels, while later ones do not, I think.

I think I've got them all now in my post, looking at alxbly's post made me notice that I'd missed that WWF Wrestlemania 2000 wasn't in that list I posted but had been mentioned in this thread, so I added it now. Also another post made while I was working on mine added several not on my list, including WCW Backstage Assault, Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker, and Nuclear Strike 64. Does my last post now have the complete list? I think the other lists in the thread are all missing a few titles, as was mine until now. bend is missing 3 and alxbly 1, I believe... unless there are more not mentioned in the thread yet. :)

Oh, are any of the 80 or so Japanese exclusives or the couple of Japan/Europe only titles (or the one Europe exclusive) colored carts and not grey?

Also, it is definitely worth noting which games are available in multiple colors. So Turok 2 and Rainbow Six come in both black and standard grey versions? Interesting... I have the black Turok 2, but the qualification is definitely something that should be noted on the list, along with OoT's grey cart version and the holographic label and non-holographic label versions of MM.

And again I have a Shadowgate 64 cart, it is grey. I have seen one other, which is also grey. Looking on ebay I only see grey carts. I don't think the game came in black.

I don't own Turok 2. The cart I'm thinking of is definitely Shadowgate 64 (dunno if that's a large Sauron-style eye or if it's a glowing red orb, I haven't played the game), but I'm looking at the box and that's what's on the label. I'll have to look at it when I get home, I'm probably just confusing two games w/ each other.

[edit: I'm probably just mixing the two carts together (Aidyn Chronicles & Shadowgate 64) since I didn't realize I owned either of them and found them together when I was reorganizing my games.]

007: TWINE, Aidyn Chronicles, Army Men Sarges Heroes 2, Army Men Air Combat, Bassmasters 2000, Hyrdo Thunder, Rainbow 6, Road Rash 64, Rugrats in Paris, Scooby Doo, Turok 2, and Zelda OOT all come in gray as well. These are US releases, I am 100% sure of these. I think they should be noted here. There are probably more examples of gray carts of game more commonly seen in color.

I thought there was a game with both blue and black cases. I could be wrong, though...
