That's it, 10 games? That's ridiculous.

Even F-Zero?
the f-zero track editor is very unintuitive (i had to read the manual to figure it out)
yeah, the games arent horrendous, but they are all incredibly dated.

I remember the days when I was a young lad, hoping that the 64DD wouldn't be vaporware. I was quite bummed when it was cancelled in the US.
I've got to ask: how are the Mario Artist games?

Well the artist games make their best effort at being user-friendly, and the tools are varied, but... you can only play around with mario stamps for so long. Without the option to download and upload other content from randnet it loses most of its appeal. There are some minigames but they seem like an afterthought almost.

They don't "all suck". I have a complete set as well and I quite like Pro Golf Tour 64 and Kyojin no Doshin.
And yeah, you're missing the Randnet disk. Strangely it was the last one I got as well, but i found it in a junk store for peanuts.

I've wanted to get a 64DD for awhile but I don't read Japanese and honestly I probably wouldn't play it even if I did.
It does look cool to see them all together in one place, even if it isn't 100% yet

Yeah that's sort of the boat I'm in too. It would be cool to have, but since I can't read Japanese it would be pretty pointless. Although being able to control a giant yellow blob that pees hearts on children does have its merits. :)

I'd get a 64DD Japanese knowledge or not, if I actually could afford one/find a sale on one that's not like 400+ dollars.
It'd look very well sitting next to my Super Famicom w/Satellaview all hooked up.

The rainbow colored one in the middle
Or is there a different one?
Or are you talking about the modem cart? I have that too.

Yeah, I was mesmerized by it's multi-colored nature and missed it. Weird. Yeah, that one :)

I don't see what much point there was in bumping this unless for some reason I'm suddenly gonna get a 64DD right in my hands now.
... c'mon, anyone? :( Poo.

I'd say "congratulations", but with that kind of negative attitude... :/
If I had a complete 64DD set, or even just a couple games, I'd be extremely happy and appreciative for it. Every F-Zero X fan I know that has the Expansion Kit absolutely loves it. I'd like to give the Doshin games a try too, although I'd probably be more inclined to pick up the English version of Doshin on GameCube.

A complete collection at 9 games? If only other systems had it that good....or bad, depending on which way you look at it.

How big is the Jag CD collection? Surely it can't be just nine games!
Though...wasn't the Sega CD 32X collection just five games?

Sorry to derail the thread...
It's not 9 games, but it's about as close as it gets.
If you include the post-mortem Telegames releases (Iron Soldier 2, World Tour Racing) and the pack-in Myst Demo, it's 14 total. I guess the VLM counts too (the best reason outside of BattleMorph to own the thing - best visualizer EVER), so make it 15. I didn't count the Memory Track because it's really a piece of hardware, nor did I count the pack-in T2k soundtrack, as it is exactly that (nice authentic VLM demonstration disc though). I only know this because it is my only complete collection (not counting the cartridge library - BattleSphere is an insurmountable expense for me). If you add in the homebrews, such as Ocean Depths (really not a game), Gorf CD (which is basically unavailable in a "legitimate" fashion, but ridiculously awesome), Black Ice White Noise (VERY early proto), and all the freebies like DiamJag, you're still talking less than 20.
For some reason I really love the Jag, even though it is full of Euro-trash shovelware. Masochistic, I know.
Back to topic, I've always been interested in the F-Zero X Expansion. Does it have a new set of pre-made tracks, or is it just a construction set? I've always wanted a 64DD just to have one, but it is prohibitively expensive considering the language barrier at play in the few good titles for it.

Yeah, but they were all upgraded Sega CD games. Nothing original to be found there. Just some nicer looking FMV.

It's funny. It seems like no matter how small a library a console has there's always at least one damn game that's stupidly hard to find and mad expensive. It never fails.

It's got two additional cups, with new music to accompany the tracks. The last track is Big Foot, to go along with Big Hand. :) There's also a vehicle editor in addition to the track editor.
As for the 64DD library, if you guys want to get technical, there are 10 discs but only 8 actual games. The Randnet disc was to use the online Randnet service, and the Mario Artist Communication Kit is used to communicate (duh) between the 3 creators. That way you could, say, paint a texture in the Paint Studio and then apply it to a model you created in the Polygon Studio. Although, if you want to get really picky, I suppose you can eliminate all of the Mario Artist titles as "games", but I know that at least Talent Studio has some built-in mini-games you can toy with once you create a character (and possibly slap your own face on it, haha).

Why was this bumped? There doesn't seem to be anything to discuss.
