Whew, so the last time we posted pictures, we were in a townhouse with cramped, but decent sized room.
When we were looking to buy a house in 2008 we knew we wanted to try to find something affordable (of course!) and something that could contain our beast of a collection. The room that contained it in our apartment was starting to get... cramped to say the least. So when we walked into one of the prospects we just knew.... the master bedroom wasn't made for sleeping - it was made for GAMING!
There are some things in the room custom made, not all by me but there were certain things made that take care of every last little detail. The curtains were brought from the apartment - I had found a brand new bolt of fabric and made them. Since the windows here were a little different, we had to space them out differently than the apartment. Port didn't want fabric covering up the taller of the two TV stands, so it worked out that I would have two panels to put over the flat panel. The Gameboy Advance sign helped to fix the gap that was driving me crazy over the tall stand.
The other big custom job that I did was make wallplates. I just got the wallpaper wallplate from Home Depot and spent an afternoon scanning and making templates. I only took pictures of the few easily accessible plates to give you an idea. If anyone wants to do the same, I will happily email the files along. Duplex: Super Bomberman 2, Burgertime, Castlevania, Megaman 3, Rampage. Switch: Sonic, Super Mario Bros. (Famicom). A Solomon's Key rocker and the Pac plate (see pic) are the two specialty ones.
Some of the plates I had to order online because they were specialties that Lowes & HD don't carry. I had bought a do-it-yourself Coaster kit and made a few with the NES classics boxes (probably not pictured). Sniderman's custom clocks are hung proudly in the windows.
Aaaaaaand enough chatter, the pictures can speak the rest of the words that I would keep babbling about.
