Well I finally got around to getting the Sega Model 2 board emulated on my laptop with the Sega Model 2 Emulator v0.9. I must say I am pretty impressed. Pretty nice to have a true Daytona USA running at home! I used my laptop with HDMI to my 51" HDTV and a Logitech G25 Wheel. Now once I was playing I must say the graphics really showed their age on my TV so I enabled the tri linear filtering which made the games look ALOT better. Nice to have the option because I also like to see and play with original graphics as well.

It was a little tricky getting everything to work, the arcade menu options as well as the emulator settings are a little hard to get perfected but I am pretty happy :)

Anyone else use this emulator? Does anyone know if there is a Model 3 emulator in the works?

Yes, this was one of the first things I installed when I built a new PC back in January. It takes a while to get the settings right, but it's darn near perfect once you do. I'm using my Logitech Nascar Pro Force Feedback wheel, and even the force feedback effects feel pretty accurate.

With Daytona going on the computer and my Neo Geo playing on the 47" TV in the room, it almost feels like I'm back in my mid-90's arcade hangouts. :)

Does your Daytona have motorized moving seats, though?

The ones I've been to at a Dave and Busters (Franklin Mills Mall, in/around Philly) do. Really makes it feel even more different than the console versions. How would you handle that on a MAME?
