I was in a game store in very rural northern Japan yesterday and they had this puppy on display:

It's obviously a SFC mated to a TV. First time I've seen this one. The store had it hooked up and had a pile of games you could pop in and play.

Anybody have one of these?

I've seen a few of those on YJA and eBay. Shipping is crazy-expensive.

Wait...so you didn't even try to stuff it under your jacket and sneak out of the store with it? I'm disappointed...:p

I've never seen that configuration before. Nice! Thanks for the pic. \\^_^/

Kedawa: Quote and look for the links, they just don't show up on the page for some reason. That said, I couldn't get them to work.

Thoughts: Better be hooked up via RGB internally.

Is the screen grayish or black when turned off? I'd settle for s-vid + a decent CRT before an older non-trinitron (or similar) grayscreen. Actually, I'll settle for something that won't become useless when the display dies - I'd imagine that's the part limiting the lifespan of this unit (aside from audio jacks which go first in my experience).

Hmm, I don't know why it's not showing up for people, I'm just using imageshack for this one. Maybe I should put it on my flickr instead?

Here's the imageshack link:

The screen is grey when off. This one looks like it's seen alot of use so I don't think I would want to buy it anyway, though it would be a pretty cool conversation piece! Besides this store is crazy far from home and crazy crazy far from public transportation (I walked quite a ways to get here).

Strangely enough there's one on Yahoo Auctions right now. It's got a starting bid of 300 yen :)

I saw this on ebay a while back from a seller in Hong Kong who had an auction with TONS of systems on it, and he wanted like $100,000 and this was one of them. I believe the seller was lik-sang jr, not sure though. Anyway that and now was the only time I have seen this thing. Anyone know if they did this with any other system where they've fused it with a TV.

I figure anybody who's interested in spending the coin for these type of Frankenstein machines is bound to either put in a little elbow grease to fix what problems arise or have "a guy" who can do it.
