Mech Games/Mechassault,Steel Battalion...What other mech games are good?
Lately I've been playing Mechassault(offline)and I'm enjoying the game a lot.
I have Steel Battalion and Gungriffon Blaze..but,
If I like Mechassault and Steel Battalion what other mech games would you recommend?

Armored Core 2 or any Armored Core for that matter

Armored Core is fun and it lets you make your own customized bot.
Also if you like mechs fighting one on one get Virtual On for the Saturn or DC,and the new one is coming to the PS2 this fall.

Yeah, the Armored Core series is cool, too. Just remember that half the fun is constructing the ultimate machine (or the right one for the job), so if engaging in extended tweaking of core (mech) designs (at least at first) isn't "fun" for you, then you might not be too thrilled with it. Some have called it the Gran Turismo of mech games. I jumped into the series at AC2 (PS2) and am now retro-ing through the first AC (Playstation), which I found (to my disappointment) does not have the arena option set up like AC2 does. But I also have AC: Master of Arena, which I suspect will make up for this lack... Also, I understand that your core designs are transferable between the three Playstation games (AC, AC:MOA, and AC: Project Phantasma). Apparently there was an outcry by the hardcore when they had to leave their designs behind in AC2.
I like giant robots with guns. Lazer swords, too.

You'll prolly laugh at this but if you like mech games (and i see you do) and if you ever played jet set radio and liked it, id look into buying Phantom Crash, I finally picked it up a while ago and been addicted to it, its like JSR except a mech game if you can picture that. Its hard to explain but id say pick it up , its on xbox and im sure you'll like it.
I've always enjoyed the Iron Soldier series. 1 and 2 can be had on the Jaguar, and #3 is on the Playstation and NUON.

Cybernator and Metal warriors on the SNES are good.
