F.R.A.G.
Federation of Retro and Arcade Gamers

What: Retro video game tournaments and events with lots of cool prizes and food.
Where: Preston VFW in Preston, Connecticut. (Five minutes from Foxwoods Casino.)
When: Saturday, November 7th from 5-11pm.
How Much: $15 per ticket, proceeds go to cover the cost of the venue, food and prizes. They can be purchased in advance or at the door.

Here is an idea of some of the challenges/tournaments that will be happening:
Super Street Fighter II Turbo Tournament
SMB Completion Time Challenge
Challenges on classics like Tetris, Pitfall and many more.
Also, there will be a huge multi-platform Ultimate Gamer Tournament with each stage of the tournament moving to a new console.
Systems ranging from Atari 2600 to PS1 will be set up to play some of your favorites.

It's going to be a really great time.

Just curious. Is anyone interested in coming? Does anyone have questions? Anything you would like to see or do there? I want it to be fun and well worth the $15. Let me know what you think, good or bad.

Just an update.

Only four weeks left until the F.R.A.G. Retro Gamer Challenge.

Here are some of the prizes:
XBox 360 with Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection and Namco Museum
NES with a few games
Sega Genesis with a few games
Retro Game Clocks (thank you Sniderman)
Gamer T-Shirts
and much much more.

There are lots of chances to win stuff and tons of other games to just have fun playing.

Alright, only 13 days left. Now's your chance to let everyone know if you're planning to attend. I know I have only met a handful of you in person (thank you, NECG) but would love to meet more of you. I think that after the response from this event, the next one in April will also be a trade meet.

So, who's coming?
