I have Submarine Commander for 2600 as a loose cart.
I have heard it is good to have but I have no idea. Can anyone help me understand if there anything special about this game?

It's the hardest to find of the Sears exclusives. Not especially rare but a good find.

Is there a list of Sears exclusives? Are any of them worth finding?

There's only three exclusives, which were essentially games that Atari thought sucked too much to put out under their own label. Steeplechase, Stellar Track, and Submarine Commander. According to the Video Game Trader price guide, they're all between $8 to $12 loose.

wasn't outer space another one that was sears only?

Don't be confused by the "exclusive" banner compared to plain old name changes... Outside of arcade titles, Sears games were often renamed, but were NOT exclusive. Outer Space was the same game as Atari's Star Ship.

Note that Super Breakout WAS a Sears exclusive for a while, and was later released by Atari too.

Isn't the Superman Sears cart worth a metric ton, even if not exclusive?

Picture label Superman by Sears and Cannon Man (Human Cannonball) are the rarest and worth the most I believe.

A loose Submarine Commander is in the $10 range I believe.

Really? Crap! I've come across both of them in the past but never picked them up. I know that Cannon Man is already sold, I might be able to find a Superman still to add to the collection (I generally don't bother with label variations and such, but a rare game is always nice for bragging rights).

I doubt that anyone will pay $10 for a loose Submarine Commander cart these days. But if anyone looking for it does want to pay that, send me a PM. :)

Thanks for all the help. It turns out I actually have a couple of the mentioned games. Pretty exciting. Not that I want to sell them , just that I actually have some neat/rare stuff in my collection.
