Hello all,

I have vague images of two mystery NES titles from childhood memories in my head that I can't put a finger on.

The first was either a Bomberman game or something with a similar cover / character on the front. It was a grey licensed cart... and if I remember correctly it had a mostly white background. In honesty, since I was very young and I spotted it only once at a yard sale, it may have even been Bomberman II as the cover seems vaguely familiar. It also seems this cart is fairly rare / much more rare than the first one (which I happen to own).

The second was almost certainty an unlicensed cartridge as it was gold. The cover appeared to have Duke Nukem or a extremely similar character on the front. To my knowledge no such game existed. Again, I was very young when I came across it only once at a back alley used video game store that is no longer in existence.

As a young kid without much money, I choose to perhaps foolishly pick up other video game titles over these at the time. If any one could shed some light on either of these two mystery NES titles, I would much appreciate it.

Other than The Legend of Zelda games, the only gold carts I can immediately think of are some of the Nintendo World Championships and the Quattro 4-in-1 carts. I'll look into it, though.

EDIT: It's The Ultimate Stuntman, made by Camerica. Camerica carts were always gold (they made the Quattro carts that I was referring to).

Now that I think about it, there is a small chance that the particular cart I was describing as gold was actually light blue or something similar... in any case it was definitely unlicensed... and may even have had that A+B switch on the back.

twas probably a Color Dreams/Wisdom Tree game...the only game I can find with a duke nukem-esque character is Menace Beach, but the cartridge is black, not blue...

To my knowledge, there were no Color Dreams games with Duke Nukem looking guys on the cover; I'm 99% sure it was The Ultimate Stuntman, as noted above.

As for the first being Bomberman II, it could be that, but Bomberman II doesn't have a white background.

Yes... that's it.... The Ultimate Stuntman is indeed the game. I suppose my memory was just incorrect regarding the colors. Thanks a bunch guys.

The first game you're thinking of is probably Robowarrior.

Interesting... I have the famicom equivalent of Robowarriror, known as Bomber King... I knew that looked familiar. I didn't realize it was even released in the US. That could very well be it... but I seem to remember a more "cutesy" robotic character on the cover... similar to that of Bomberman II... again it may have even been Bomberman II... but I am uncertain.

Sounds like Kickle Cubicle

I always thought Robowarrior looked like Mecha Lolo.

I don't think it was Kickle Cubicle as I own that title now.
Come to think of it, now that it was mentioned, it could have
been a Lolo game... I don't think I own any of them and at least
the box of Adventures of Lolo 2 was white.

It probably wasn't Bomberman 2. From what I remember, Bomberman 2 has a yellow & black background (same as other '92-'93 Hudson NES releases Felix the Cat and Adventure Island 3), not white.
