Someone local is selling the following Genesis lot, any idea as to the value?

The only thing that I see of any rarity is Time Killers (R5) but its loose.

$60 maybe? I don't really see any valuable games there besides Dynamite Headdy.

I'd say it was worth around $100. Syd of Valis is a good $20~30 game complete, Rocket Knight Adventures & Dynamite Headdy are probably a good $15 apiece. Most of the games aren't worth much more than $5 each but there's quite a few of them and they're all good games. More of a "buy for myself" than "buy to flip" but a very nice collection.

I'm assuming that everything boxed is also complete, and that everything actually works properly. I'd say it's worth between $100-$200, maybe a bit more but I wouldn't spend more since it's a bulk lot and a lot of them are loose. I pretty much avoid buying loose carts myself and there's not too many games in the lot that I'd personally be interested in as the ones I'd mostly want are either loose or I have them already so I'd value it a bit lower. If I were selling all the games from that lot I'd probably say everything is worth more than $200. I'm not even sure of all the titles of the loose games, I see Shining in the Darkness but I'm not sure of the other ones that don't have a name shown.
It seems I'm usually willing to spend more on big lots than most people, maybe it's just me.

Genesis prices have always been in the toilet and now even more in the toilet in the past 2 years. Only games worth more than $10 are Gaiares and Syd of Valis.
I wouldn't pay more than $50 for all of it. Loose Genesis carts annhilate value since it's so easy to keep the box.
EDIT: Filling in mobius's gaps:
Hardball
Taz in Escape from Mars
Golden Axe
Cyborg Justice?
Streets of Rage
Space Harrier II
Ranger X
Grind Stormer
Art of Fightning
Shining in the Darkness
Pebble Beach Golf Links
Time Killers
Warlock
Little Mermaid
Batman Forever
Ecco the Dolphin
X-Men
Wheel of Fortune
Rambo III
Cal Ripkin Jr
High Seas Havoc
Jurassic Park Rampage Edition

I don't think the lot is worth much more than $30-50, and even less if you're trying to flip, not keep, but that guy has a good taste in games. :D

im seeing some crazy high estimates, no way you should spend 100-200 on this. For it being craigslist, $50 would be more than fair for the seller.

I'll offer him $50 and see what he says

HAHAHAHA is what I'd say if someone offered me $50 for that. Decent CIB Genesis games aren't worth $5 apiece to you guys? Really??? WTF, people. I've heard of cheap, but that just goes too far.

No, they're not. 5 years ago when I collected Genesis, I paid no more than $2/CIB game in lots. There's no reason to pay anymore than that now.

From portnoyd's list
Cyborg Justice? = OutRun 2019
Streets of Rage = Shadow Dancer
Art of Fightning = Fatal Fury 2
OutRun 2019 was the toughest one for me, I wasen't sure what it was but had deja vu then double checked a picture after figuring out what it may be.

$50 is good if you are looking to flip, if you actually wanted to play the games $80 is a high enough offer that they know you aren't going to try and make a profit reselling.

I feel the same way, I just bought a Genesis system with 14 games for $60 off Kijiji and a few games weren't complete. That ad above has 20 boxed games and 29 loose games, why are people only willing to spend $50 for everything? And here I thought I was cheap.
This is why I mostly stick to selling with the classifieds, I actually find people willing to pay $5 or more per game. I actually find it easier to sell Genesis games compared to NES games, I don't know why but they seem to be more in demand lately where I am.

I agree. The only Genesis games that seem to be worth anything (and aren't Japanese) anymore are
Michael Jackson's Moonwalker
Gunstar Heroes
Shining Force
Shining Force II
MUSHA
Megaman: The Wily Wars
Alien Soldier
Splatterhouse 3
Streets of Rage 3
Toejam and Earl
Anything else can most likely be found rather cheaply.

Apparently Gaiares is also worth a little bit CIB (recently completed auction ended around $20).
Well, if you can pick it up for $50, go for it. This is why I usually don't sell bundles on CL; I sell games individually.

Even selling in bundles I can get more than that amount. $50 for all that is just over $1 per game. A friend of mine is a vendor who sells video games for a living and he buys them for more than that. Most of those games are pretty good too, the boxed ones would sell for $5 each pretty well(I'm assuming they're in good shape with the instructions). Even some of the loose carts would sell for $5 each, at least they would where I am. They may not be super valuable but they're not worthless either.
If I ever came across any bundles that cheap($1 each) I'd buy them, I never see them that cheap outside of the occasional garage sale or extremely vague craigslist ad that doesn't list any details. I can only really remember buying a lot with complete games around that cheap once, well over a year ago and I was lucky. I can remember finding another small bundle with loose games though. I have found several games from Baloo's list for pretty cheap as well, mostly loose but they're obtainable if you look hard enough(and with a bit of luck). I don't pay all too much for games but I'm not that cheap either.

I bought a Genesis lot for $20 that had nothing but CIB games and some great titles too. I've also gotten a Genesis and games for free. But at the same time, I usually have no problem selling Genesis games at $5 a pop (or more for popular harder to find games).

Gaiares is an R5 in the DP guide. One of the better Genesis shmups too. Also Grind Stormer is nice, in the DP guide at $4 CIB. Oddly enough, the VGT guide has Gaiares at $8 CIB and Grind Stormer at $16 loose. I think they do an auction aggrigate and some store rates for prices.
It might be because I really like the Genny, but I think $50 is low for all that. Of course, you can offer whatever you like. Their fault for not setting a asking price.
