Mods feel free to merge this with another topic if you wish.

I've been playing the multiplayer demo for a few hours now and I'm hooked on CO-OP Arena. Arena mode kind of reminds me of Left 4 Dead for some reason, probably because you really have to rely on your partners to have your back and hope you don't stray too far away from them. Team work is extremely important by the third round, especially if you have one person who decides they don't want to be a team player.

I tried playing deathmatch for a bit, but got tired of being blown away because I didn't have time to get the hang of the controls. At least with Arena you have time to learn the controls during the first round and can get the hang of things before it gets too hectic. I haven't tried the other two modes yet.

I was pleased to see that the multiplayer mode is more than just a tacked on feature and that they actually did something with it. There was also very little lag other than a few bumps here and there, but everything ran extremely smoothly, which is impressive considering how chaotic things can get. The controls are very solid, they seemed to have improved on Uncharted's already smooth and fluid controls. The game also looks very beautiful, but that's no surprise considering who made the game.

Anyone else play this yet?

I agree, it's like they took Left 4 Dead, Gears of War and Tomb Raider, put it all in a shake n' bake bag and said BAM there ya go, Uncharted 2!

Co-op on hard is extremely challenging and reminds me alot of Halo 1 on Legendary. The thing I love most about it is the variety of ways to approach a situatuion and the melee attacking is a very useful element.

Gold Rush is a very fresh take on a capture the flag type gameplay and "Machinima mode" is just plan fun to fool around in. It's a well rounded experience.

I downloaded it last night. it was fun. it feels just like gow. I can say one thing though....it's much more fun to play than gow. I'm a new ps3 owner and i'm suprised at how pretty game like killzone 2 and uncharted look. :)

My only problem is that if someone drops out of Gold Rush, the entire match ends. This is BS because tonight I just played a match with only one other person and I got further in that particular map than I did with 3 people. This is really frustrating, especially if you're having a really good match and the other person drops out because they died right in the beginning of a round. Hopefully this issue will be fixed in the final game and let you continue the game even if someone leaves, maybe even let someone else jump in during a new match/when a match restarts.

What sucks even more is I had my bluetooth charging during the great run I had with just one other person, so I wasn't able to communicate with him. It's also very rare to find another person with a headset, I had one round where two other people had one (both were new to the game) and I wasn't able to direct them on what exactly to do.

If any of you wanna play, hit me up on PSN, I wouldn't mind having a few reliable players on my side.

I only played it for a little bit, but so far it's hell of a lot better than Drake's Fortune and that's saying a lot. The game play might be linear, but the story is told in pieces and I can already tell it's going to be very interesting as everything unfolds. I played a little of the multiplayer and so far it looks like it's the same maps as the Beta, not sure if you unlock any as time goes on, but I was kind of disappointed by that.

Needless to say, it's a must buy for every PS3 owner.

Now dammit, I'm trying to save money. No more positive posts! Someone bring the hate and discontent. Tell me to stay far away from this game...

I would have bought this, if Demon's Souls wouldn't have stole mine.

The co op arena was awesome in the demo, but the other modes sucked. Im the only gamer on the planet with a PS3 that will not own this.

I got in the beta from Infamous and didn't really give it much of a chance, but since the public beta I've been playing Objectives matches on and off and have been enjoying the hell out of it. I picked it up today but I haven't had the chance to give it a shot just yet.

Game is so good, played up to Chapter 3 and loving it. The opening level was WOW!....awesome, really big second chapter and got me 10 trophies so far out of 100 which is great....I love searching for them and even thou I found 10 thru 2 chapters with the one in the tree in chapter 3....I can feel I probably miss one or two.....especially with the laser part towards the end of the 2nd chapter found one while making my way to the ladder. Anyway everyone enjoy it!. Just say if you own a PS3 you must do yourself the favor and buy this game ASAP!.

I'm on chapter ... 5 ... maybe 6 I think (it's all so seamless it's hard to remember) and it's just plain awesome, but I don't think anybody expected anything less.

No major changes from the first in terms of play control (grenade tossing is much improved though) ... well, it looks like they took out all the sixaxis "balancing" control stuff, but I don't miss it.

The game just oozes beautiful environments and top fucking notch acting (both voice and cinematic mo-cap sequences), it's REALLY easy to get emotionally involved in the story with characters like Nate and Sully.

Played an online multiplayer match and the play mechanics lend themselves brilliantly to a multiplayer combat match.

Great stuff, will probably finish it by next week ... it'll be hard to put down once I get any deeper.

No PS3 owner should pass this one up. Nuff said.

I beat the game on Thursday and was in awe the entire time I was playing it. It truly is an amazing game, in my opinion, game of the year, easily. If you own a PS3 you owe it to yourself to pick this up, I cannot recommend it enough.

I purchased this game at Gamestop recently. The disc wasn't scratched and it was the regular purchase seal, not a reseal, but the front cover of the booklet looks there are small creases like the book was bent then flattened back out in a couple parts.

Is this how it's supposed to look or maybe Gamestop has a new resealer and sold me a used but looks new game.

QFT. The game is amazing in its presentation, animations and pacing. I would damn near say this is the best pacing in a game to date, it absolutely grabs you and doesn't let go, so much better than the first game it isn't even funny.

Not sure man, my book doesn't have any physical bend just a leather journal look. Quit worrying about the book and enjoy the awesome game. :p
