Totally will bring some PAL, pal. I do have a bunch of spare PAL, and a significant amount of PAL-M (Brazilian) stuff. I'll try to bring some of both. Yay! As far as schmups, I'm not sure what generation you want your schmups for, but it I will try to keep that in mind.

Both PAL and PAL-M is great for me, loose or boxed. The cheesier the better!

Shmups, I'm currently looking to complete the PS1 and DC runs, but I'm also starting on Genesis and SNES. Other systems are welcome as well, but I have a good number for the older generation and I think I have everything post DC.

I'm also always looking for really oddball systems, but I'm trying to not buy anything loose unless it's painfully rare.

ODDBALL? Oddball! I got you covered.

Not so oddball that I'll be mad if 98PaceCar gets there first, I hope...

FYI, ticket pre-orders end around March 9th! If you are planning on coming up and haven't pre-ordered yet, now is the time to do so. For the time being, pre-orders still receive a voucher for a goodie bag which you can pick up at the show.

Later.

Hey Ace,

If you see this, if you PM me your email address, I'd like to ask you a question about something. Or, contact me through the MGC contact forum :)

Thanks!

I finished pricing all of my MGC wares last night. Sadly, I don't have 1/4th the stuff to sell this year as I did last year, at least it doesn't feel like it. I'm going to have a dump bin of 2600/7800 dupes with some uncommon stuff thrown in, all priced to sell. There's also a lot of donor cart material in there and is priced as such. Probably going to have 40-ish PS1 games to sell, most of which are common and priced at $2-$3. Got a stack of mostly decent N64 games to get rid of as well. Also going to be selling some quality NES, SNES, and Saturn stuff though I don't have much in the way of quantity of it. All in all it is probably only enough gear to fill half of a table, but the thrifts haven't been as good to me as I'd have liked in the past year, so that's what I've got. I'll be happy if this stuff finances my beer money and bar food over the weekend :).

Quick interest check. Is there anyone that's going to be at MGC that wants a C64 rig? I've got a CIB C64 breadbox (S/N on box and system DO NOT match,) a CIB 1541 with some yellowing, a C2N Datasette recorder, and an XE1541 cable. Also got some miscellaneous software like GEOS and the like. If anyone is seriously interested, let me know. Otherwise, I'm leaving it here in Ohio.

I'll have my boxes of trade bait along (see my marketplace post). It's really random stuff, but nothing overly rare. There's a nice 2600 starter set, a Macintosh SE that's perfect for classic Mac gaming, and some misc. 2600 stuff (King Kong and Sentential are probably the best in the lot). I also have a boxed 8-bit MULE that I'll bring along.

I'd probably be interested in that King Kong if the price is right. 570-ish collection and still lacking Tigervision stuff...

Where are we going to play them? We don't seem to have a "party room" this year...

Also, just a reminder to those attending, we'll have "Buy 'em before you can buy 'em" copies of the Bio Force Ape competition cart availible at the show.

Hey guys
I don't post here much but I will be there again this year. I know some of you from previous shows/Atariage/etc.. Looking forward to it, should be a great time! As always I have a little floor space available if someone has to "pass out" and can't make it home -_- , hate to see people drink and drive when they don't need to, or if due to the economy you are light on cash and can't spare the funds for a room of your own, just let me know....just please don't be a wierdo that sleeps naked or pees on my floor, etc..:ass: Looking forward to pounding beers and...oh and of course video games - lol, if anyone has a party/gathering going let me know and I will stop by for a round! See you there!!!

Games, boxed systems, and loose systems. Lots of work left to do before Friday rolls around...Speaking of which:

BADGE SIGN UP ENDS AT MIDNIGHT TONIGHT!!!

I'll be printing and putting them together tomorrow. Please post in the separate badge thread if you would like one, and pick it up at my booth in the vendor area before or during the show. See you all there.

Hey Rich
I will take a badge if possible? I know I don't post here a lot but it would help me recognize the people I do know. Thanks:-D

BTW - Not sure if you remember me but I scored a boxed Indiana Jones and the infernal machine (N64) from you last year, looking forward to seeing your stuff this year. Still kicking myself for passing on your CIB Nomad, ending up paying a lot more for one down the road.

Make sure to bring broken stuff by the Ben Heck Experience. Last year we fixed a few things, RROD 360 and maybe a TurboDUO, and this year we will have some extra parts for more repairs. I have some fuses for sega cd's and some replacement screens for Nomads, and I think someone will have parts for composite/rgb/s-video/whatever a/v mod you are looking for.

Can you fix a Wii? Mine suddenly won't turn on anymore.

I also have a RROD 360. I tried to do the "washer fix" (or whatever it's called) and it worked for about a minute before crapping out again.

It might be a cap problem or just a bad screen. Someone might have a spare screen from a dead unit so bring it on by.

Did it ever read discs? Sounds cool either way weather someone could fix it or not.

Wii "not turning on anymore" being a broad description but I'm sure someone has done Wii mods and fixes so bring it on by.

For 360, Gabe (benheck username G-Force) was fixing them last year. I do not know what he did to fix it, but he will be there this year.

Yeah I have a charger and I will probably buy a game up there too if you need to test it further.

For anything broken, just bring it on by and we can take a look and hopefully fix it. No promises as it depends on what is wrong/what happened to it and what parts we have, but since it's already broken so you got nothing to lose to have somebody take a look at it and hope for the best.

wallydawg, what's the typical rate to repair a RRoD'd 360? I've got one that I believe (if memory serves) the "e74" or "e75" issue with the first 360 I owned. Microsoft wouldn't repair it as the previous owner had the case spray painted and the warranty stick wasn't put back on.

Really?? That's so cool... I have a TurboDuo that needs an A/V port repair, and an X'Eye I'm considering getting an S-video mod for. Would I need to bring parts? Are you charging for the repairs?

Man, I am such a sucker for boxed systems... You can be sure I will be taking a close look at the Coleco and 7800. I've been meaning to get into pre-NES stuff. (Well, sort of pre-NES in the 7800.)

Will you have the hookups for a 360, or should I include a power supply, av cable and controller if I want a 360 looked at? I have a Halo edition Xbox360 with a single red light "73" error. It seems the 3-year warranty only covers 3 red lights or a "74" error...this thing is just as much a brick for me however, and it would be great if someone could take a look at it.

Thanks,

Just in case any of you Benheck forum guys would be interested in it, I will be bringing my 8bitdomain 2600 4switch s-vid mod with me to MGC to sell. I took it out of my 2600 when I swapped to the LE mod awhile back. Maybe one of you guys can tinker with it and make something good out of it :). I'm also going to have a nice 7800 on hand for sale that I don't expect to keep very long on account of the fact that it's one of the few 7800s I've seen with a bezel that isn't completely demolished.

Take on this awesome new project that BenHeck just completed! Bill Paxton pinball will be available for play at the Midwest Gaming Classic, and if you are one of the top four scores throughout the day, you'll get to enter a final four player tournament at 7pm, where Bill Paxton Pinball taunts you to steal the other players modes and multiballs and emerge as the champion!

I'll be bringing my 9" Sony studio monitor (CRT). It has composite, S-Video, component, and RGB inputs plus audio inputs.

It's not for sale, but is great for hooking things up for testing and playing.

I'll also be bringing a working TI-99/4 (NOT the 4a, but the rare 4) for sale along with a variety of things:

Neo Geo Cap Kits
EPROMs (including 2532s)
ER-2055 (Atari NVRAMs)
PROMs (hard to find 82S23, 82S123, 82S126, and 82S129)
Neo Geo 2kx8 SRAMs
Colecovision Kits (A/V, 5v DRAM, and Dual BIOS)
Arcade game boards
Modified game consoles (SMS / Genesis / Colecovision)

I didn't have enough time to modify more consoles. If these sell then I'll do more and sell them through my website or on the various forums.

I've been cleaning out the basement (getting things stored properly in preparation for a deluge of baby supplies once the bundle of joy arrives in a month) and came across my Commodore 64 ("C" model with box, Epyx "Fast Load" cart, P/S and monitor cable), floppy drive and a bunch of disks (some original, most not). It should still work but I want to test it first.

If it does work, would anyone going to the show want it? Free to a good home. I'd rather it go to someone that has interest in it rather than just donate it to some thrift store.

I know nothing about atari stuff... never had a system. I did a quick search on ebay completeds for some of them, there's a couple of mario bros. and a Threshold (orange cart)... I'd imagine the rest are worthless, but whatever *shrugs*

There was a bunch of other stuff in there too, about 30 colecovision, 40 INTV, 25 SMS, some Oddysey 2, 7800, 5200, T1-99a. I'll bring the whole thing; worst case scenario is that it just sits in the car.

Sheraton might be bigger but damn it isn't sending me into a murder rage to try and navigate these thin halls. I didn't like it here when it was here a few years ago and it's not any better given the event has grown a lot.

I haven't bought anything yet because I haven't been able to squeeze into the vendor area very long to browse the warez. I hope they can find a more functional location next year (if they are set on not being at the Olympia anymore).

P.S. Baby wearing a Mushroom onesie, feel free to tell him hai.

I feel your pain! Our daycare fell through at the last minute, so we wound up bringing the kids with. My 5 year old could walk, but my 3 year old needed the stroller. It was a NIGHTMARE!! I also had to have my backpack on, and it took both my wife and myself to carry the stroller up and down steps.

Honestly, between the cramped hallways, absolutely poor accessibility, and the horrid hotel staff/catering, I'm thinking this was my one and only trip. Don't get me wrong, I met some awesome people, and there were quite a few great exhibits, but the venue destroyed what could have been an absolute blast even for the family. I mean, the catering staff couldn't even be bothered for buns that weren't bricks! And we ate early!

So, to the organizers, it was a great event, but if there is any possibility of someplace besides the Sheraton, it would make an immense improvement.

I got some good stuff. I'll post in the finds thread when I get home.

Anyone else see the Colecovision project table? A bunch of prototypes of MSX-Coleco conversions.

The vendor hall was reaaally cramped. Things being spread out so much... I don't know. My room is right above the museum, but the vendor hall is on the other side of the hotel.

Back home, and had fun today. I agree with everyone that's said it's way to cramped there. It was really hard to move in the vendor hall, and just in general around all of the areas. Glad I went, but yeah, it really needs to be in an area with more space.
