Former Park Place Productions CEO and co-founder Michael Knox passed away in Hawaii September 15 after a battle with colon cancer. He was 48.
Knox started Park Place with Troy Lyndon, now the CEO of Inspired Media Entertainment (makers of the Christian video game based on the Left Behind novels) in 1989. The company eventually grew to be North America's largest independent game developer and was responsible for developing the first Madden game on the Genesis, the first Joe Montana game on the Genesis, the first EA NHL Hockey game on the Genesis, and many other titles.
