Not much but a positive step in the direction of a possible CFW or some other type of hack. At this site I found they show a video of the psp go running hello world through a game save exploit and dumping all flash files to be viewed on a memory stick. They hide the game so sony doesnt see what it is...well here it is again nothing to special. http://pspgohacks.com/first-psp-go-hack-exploit-found-already-2-days-after-release/

Good news. They only way I'd consider buying a Go is if it could be hacked & modded. Hopefully they'll get some homebrew running on it soon.

I think its more when they will hack it rather than can they hack it. IMO i think no longer than 1 month till its hacked and playing ISO's, CSO's, etc.

Damn that was fast!
This is one of the few times I absolutely love hackers.
Now Sony, lets talk about these Psp game download prices....

I guess it makes sense to get a PSP Go and prevent it from updating? That way it will be the easiest to exploit

Agree 100%. Then I'll be able to play my games on it.

For me it's that...AND be able to transfer my existing UMD games to the console.

If I can run CFW, it means that I'll probably be able to run ISOs, so I'll just DL my existing UMDs and play em on it.

Well Sony, by not resolving the UMD transfer issue for Go, I will have to resort to CFW. Sony better come up with a plan to do it or else everyone will start running CFW.

Even if they do so, they will be playing catch up. Hackers will beat them to a solution and most people will go with that anyway. As soon as Sony publicly denied the feature, they sealed their fate.

Is it still true that half the PSP-2000s and all the 3000s cannot be hacked? Or is that fixed? It's really limiting my PSP love. I want a new PSP... my old one is janky in a few ways. But I don't want to have to hunt down a prisitine old one that has to be a specific version... :P
As others have said.. PSP Go being hacked is the ONLY way I'll ever consider buying one. I have a PSP game collection... I'd like to play it! I'm not rebuying the games I own physically to play them, and I'm not buying new digital games when I have a collection and I'd rather have the UMD if one exists!
The hackers would be doing Sony a favor in this case. I don't pirate. Unless you mean ripping my own games to play them off flash memory!

Truth be told, I wasn't counting on an exploit path being discovered so quickly. This doesn't reverse my thoughts on it's probable future though. In fact, people buying for the exploit rather than the system and new limited distribution itself sends a false signal to Sony, unless they account for units sold vs software through PSN. Even in that case, that would reveal a hit to attach rate and make the digital-only platform and PSN releases in general even less desirable to 3rd parties.

Ha, that's awesome. I kind of wish I got a launch unit now - if this is true, it won't be long before the exploit is shut out.

I dunno, I still wouldn't buy a Go because of the battery being really hard to replace. :p

I still wouldn't buy a Go because I'd have to go through all the trouble to rip the games and I'm happy with my PSP 2000 as my final version of the system.
