I can get pics up sometime this week. I'm in the process of getting rid of a vast majority of my remaining gaming merchandise and I was curious what if any value something like this
would have.

Basically it is a prototype shell of the final Sammy Atomiswave arcade unit. It's just the wooden housing without any of the plastic or paint. It has the entire 5 foot+ cab the control panel housing and the base. There is a couple notes on the cab for where they wanted to adjust placement of certain things such as the back upper handle being moved down about 6". I'm sure it's very unique as I think any others were destroyed.

I'm also selling one of the original demo cabs that Sammy play tested the games on in various parts of the country before the final release of the Atomiswave system. That one is fully functional though.

So any input would be greatly appreciated. And if you'd like to see pics I'm sure I can get some posted tonight or tomorrow.

Thanks all,
-nate

Although I couldn't put a price on it, I do have some ideas that would help you get a better idea of value.

- Pictures of the cab would be great. The best way to gauge interest/pricing is to see some pictures of the cab, especially if it's unique.

- Also, do you have any documentation stating that this is a prototype cab? If you do, that should increase the value/desirability.

- You should try posting on Neo, Arcade Otaku, and KLOV. Not only do those forums have members that would be more knowledgeable on the matter, they would have far more potential buyers.

- Whether or not you're willing to ship the cab will have a major impact on what it will sell for as well.

Thanks for the help!

Well I'll post pictures here so at least this is done. And I'll try to hop over to the other forums and give them a whack.

Sadly there is no documentation for this unit. It was one of a couple that were getting thrown out. I picked it up from Sammy/ Sega USA in Schaumberg IL many years ago to save it from being junked.

As far as shipping goes I have no problem shipping I just haven't the first clue on how to ship an arcade. I've never purchased or shipped one myself. I'll have to look into that more when the time comes.

I think one of my main concerns is if it's worth it to try to sell something like this or if it's not worth the time or effort in the end.
