I wanna get every U.S. game for the cube and I wanted to know which games will be the hard ones to find in the long run. Now im not talking price rarity cause some that cost a lot will sit in the stores. So what games should I be looking for now so I wont have to search later on?

From experience, these games are pretty obscure:
Bust-A-Move 3000
Top Angler
NCAA Football 2K3 (I think that was the one)
Ribbit King
Dance Dance Revolution: Mario Mix (CIB)
Pokemon Box (Only available in New York City's Nintendo shop)
Evolution Worlds
Cubivore

Ones that are claimed to be rare:
PSO Episode 1 & 2
PSO Episode 1 & 2 Plus
PSO Episode 3: C.A.R.D. Revolution
Ikaruga
Capcom vs. SNK 2: EO

See this thread (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/showthread.php?t=51193) for more.

I think you are thinking of NCAA College Basketball 2K3. That's the hard to find one.

Probably. I always forget which one it is.

THE rarest Gamecube game? (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/showthread.php?t=51193)

Many of the games listed in that thread don't go for a lot but are tough to track down.

Don't forget "Space Raiders" on that list. Total pain to find.

Really? I bought that game out of a bargain bin years ago. Ended up getting rid of it for next to nothing, because it was a piece of crap.

I've come across many a copy of PSO 1 & 2 (five - six), but only one of Plus. Plus is defiantly a pain to track down here. Mostly, I suspect, because of it's known to be a easy $ title for the flippers. They go for only $8 - $12 (Plus version) last I checked at Game Crazy. That's minimum $50 return from eBay, I think.

Code Veronica X isn't hard to find... It's hard to find CIB and in decent shape, well, though my experience. Disk 1 is always scratched up bad, or the manual is missing, or worse... 3 is still pretty easy, 2 is getting harder day by day.

I bought it at gamestop for $2 a month or two ago..

I managed to get lucky and find a CIB copy for $5 at the Play N Trade in my hometown :P

Also, adam, keep your eyes open for some hardware too, namely Wavebirds and component cables. Those are pretty valuable nowadays.

Guess I should take good care of my sealed copy of CVX then...

Is that Pure Evil packaging still tough to track down?

I think the broadband adapter is still a toughie, too.

it's kind of funny. i think it's a regional thing. i used to work at GC, and we would get quite a few copies of the Phantasy Stars on GC, plus Space Raiders.

MGS: Twin Snakes was (is?) kind of hard to get in good condition.

I've seen several copies of Evolution Worlds and Space Raiders. Maybe it's a regional thing.

For anybody who cares about variants, I don't see the Player's Choice versions of Burnout and Dave Mirra BMX 2 that often. I believe both games became Player's Choice titles right before Acclaim pulled Gamecube support entirely. Note that the regular versions are common and there's no difference in value.

A few racers I don't see too often that shouldn't cost you much:
4x4 Evo 2 (one of the best off-road racers I've played)
City Racer
F1 2002
Rally Championship

Consider Pokemon Box a huge "Bill's PC" with a few added features. It lets you interact with your Pokemon and play the games on your TV as well.

Gamecube is the main system I collect for, and the hardest title to find is definitely Pokemon Box. There are a couple on ebay each week but they go for extremely high prices. One day I hope to find one in the wild.

Also, I'm having trouble finding this variant not for an insane price:

Windwaker and OoT / Master Quest in one package.

Wow, I didn't know that existed. Kind of like how there's a Metroid Prime/Wind Waker pack.

I found out it existed by seeing one at a local game store. However, the cover art was completely water damaged and it was missing the manual, and they were asking $30.

Also saw a CAG thread a little while ago about someone finding it marked as a normal copy of WindWaker at GS, so now every time I'm at GS I check every copy of windwaker to look for it. :D

Oh yeah, that reminds me, there's a version of Metroid Prime with a bonus disc, featuring a demo of Metroid Prime 2. Not sure how rare this is, but I got it as a normally marked Metroid Prime at Gamestop.

Mario Kart Double Dash is a similar case. There's a release with a banner on the cover which includes a bonus disc with demos, previews, and a connectivity bonus for Fire Emblem (GBA).

The Mario Kart DD and Metroid Prime 2 disc versions are both very common compared to the zelda one.

I'm not sure what other variants there are
