I saw no mention of that on the front of columbiahouse.com.

That's because you have to sign in first. It's "members only".
I checked it out this morning - it's a nice feature but the prices are pretty much the same as any other retail outlet. Now hopefully they do some of the specials like they do for CD's and DVD's. I'm a sucker for buy-1-get-1 or even buy-2-get-1 deals.

Hell, if they offer sweet deals like that, I just might rejoin. As long as the buying commitment isn't outrageous.

Huh, I've been a member of their video club forever and I do most of my ordering on-line. I don't see any mention ANYWHERE of video games available. Where should I go?

Tim,
I went to the main site http://www.columbiahouse.com/sa/ch/homepage.jsp
Then entered my username and password in the upper right.
Then on the next page after about 3 seconds, a pop-up appeared and I cliicked it. Also, on the top left, under the COLUMBIA HOUSE title, is a series of icons. The fifth one is labeled "video games".
See if that works!

Yes....I'd do the 12 games for a penny deal.....wait...then I'd have to buy 12 more at THEIR full price...AUGH!

Their video game club "in the days" was a deal like "buy 2 or 3, get 1 free"....not 12, will have to look back in one of my Electronic Games mags to see what it exactly was. The Keeper X_x :-D

Just let us know when they have the first BMG exclusive titles. Then we will all sign up.

Indeed they have. I do some freelance for a music/movies/games retailer (not Columbia House, but not far removed) that's markedly increased its games presence to make up for its rapidly shrinking music sales. Doesn't surprise me that Columbia House is also looking to (mostly) pirate-proof games for salvation.

I was a member of Columbia House's CD & DVD clubs for awhile, quitting both last year. I tired of being ripped off with their unbelievably high shipping charges. Unless that changes, I'll never join up again. >:(

interestingly enough, Sony Music posted increased profit over last year. They did just do a lot of 'restructuring' tho, so they might have um trimmed some fat.
Frankly, I find it kind of surprising that places like Columbia house and BMG are still around what with the internet and all. I guess the people that they are trying to screw with their servie policies are the same people that don'e have credit to use on the internet...

Actually, the perception of sales probably decreased when all those college students doing the 12 CDs for a penny scam (and moving to avoid the bill/club) went napster/whateverster and forgot about the crimes they perpetrated in lo-tek days past.
