To me, the worst GBA games were:

Mortal Kombat Advance
Midway Arcade Greatest Hits
Pitfall! Mayan Adventures

Which were the worst games on that console for you? Just like other similar threads, by worst, we mean baaaaaad, not just "not for me, not my style" games.

Defender, heard it was bad, then got to try a friend's copy. the extra modes are useless, and the original isn't even emulated that well.

Monster Trucks - Poor controls and a lack of a save function of any kind (as I learned the hard way while playing the game on the go). That's right - the game expects you to play through several races in one sitting, which kills the portability factor.
Play this instead: Monster Truck Madness

Quad Desert Fury - Another lame Majesco-published racer with the same flaws as Monster Trucks.
Play this instead: ATV Quad Power Racing

Cartoon Network Speedway - File this under "lame Mario Kart clone."
Play these instead: Mario Kart: Super Circuit, Konami Krazy Racers

Midway Arcade Greatest Hits - Poor emulation ruins the fun.
Play these instead: Activision Anthology, Konami Collector's Series: Arcade Advanced, Namco Museum

Marble Madness/Klax - Klax is fine, but in Marble Madness, the game ends after THE THIRD LEVEL. Why are the rest of the levels missing?
Play these instead: Marble Madness (GBC), Super Monkey Ball Jr.

Pinball Tycoon - features four tables that are so boring and poorly designed that a number of cheap PC titles could easily put them to shame.
Play these instead: The Pinball of the Dead, Hardcore Pinball, Muppet Pinball Mayhem

Mario Pinball. What garbage.

Mario Pinball. What garbage.

I thought Mario Pinball was a decent game, but it played too much like a Mario game, and not enough like a Pinball game really. The game was frustrating to say the least, I got all the way up to Bowser.

As for bad GBA games, we can't forget:

Sonic the Hedgehog Genesis
Revenge of Shinobi
Comix Zone

Awful ports.

The SF2 games on it were rather shit, nice attempts at using ;wow; graghics, but complete failure on gameplay.

There were tons of horrid movie-licensed games on the system... Too much to list.

Comix Zone wasn't that bad of a port was it? I've played the GBA version quite a bit when I first got it. I have Earthworm Jim 1 and 2 for GBA and those are a bit lacking compared to the original console versions. For one enemy in EJ2 when you defeat him his arm is still shown on screen frozen in place, not attached to anything because of a glitch. They're still decent but not as great as the originals.

I wholeheartedly agree. I bought this game used, solely for Marble Madness and I was pissed after the 3rd level.

Someone else mentioned Defender, I bought that one when I first got my GBA SP and had fond memories of the original on the 2600, but boy does it suck!

My least favorite game that I have ever owned has to be Bomberman Tournament (I think that's the name anyway). I bought it used, thinking it would be a regular Bomberman game(which I love), but it was some weird RPG/Pokemon/Bomberman combination which I promptly took back and got Castlevania: Circle of the Moon which is a great game IMO.

Mario Pinball. What garbage.

i agree. nintendo should of left the pinball halfbreeds to sega. just cuz sonic did spinball doesnt mean that mario should do the same.

I think it could've been a great game but I think the whole thing was just designed badly.

Also I'm mostly bitter because I was about to beat the game and it randomly decided to delete my game save for no reason.

When midway arcades greatest hits came out I bought it fairly fast expecting at least decent emulation. Talk about a poor excuse for a game. Was basically a huge disappointment that didn't even come close to my expectations.

Road to Wrestlemania 18 sucked ass! It was supposed to be better than the previous game Road to Wrestlemania. Nope, it had bad looking polygon grafics, press a button, seconds later the action was made, was slow paced, and had mediocre music. I regret buying that piece of shit! Fire pro wrestling had high reviews, but in my opinion sucked too.

It was designed very badly, especially the levels themselves. Some of the shots you had to make were so accurate, it's as if the game thought you had total control over the Mario pinball. Sometimes the game would get downright ridiculous, and the ball would constantly drain.

Boktai 1 & 2. I know they are decent, if not good, games, but the inclusion of the light sensor killed them. Either you played the games in the type of light environment where you can see the screen and your solar gun is useless and you can't seal bosses, or you played it in the sun where your gun and seal ability worked, but you can't see anything on screen so that the change actually matters.

Patched ROMs on a flashcart shouldn't be required to enjoy a game, let alone be able to you know, play it.

Why not just use the DS backwards compatability then?

Sonic Genesis has to be on this list, possibly the worst conversion of all time and particularly gratuitous following the sublime Mario Advance series. Same goes for Mortal Kombat Advance, though I liked SSF2 and SFA3 on the GBA.

I would have killed for a DS in '03. LOL

Still requires light and the DS screens are more reflective. Without resorting to extreme yoga and weird angles, it's often worse. Plus, the cart faces away from the light and toward you.

Arg I remeber crouching around trying to play that, and living in the south makes it more of a poo fest cuz you go outside and get "sunkissed" and die of heat stroke, or stay inside and try to find the one light that works but for some reason is in the most inconvinient place.

Capcom Mini Mix was disappointing. Strider, an already glitchy game, was even glitchier. I forget what pissed me off about Bionic Commando and Mighty Final Fight. I think I just didn't like the latter game much.

R-Type III - A disappointingly poor port of the SNES shmup.
Play these instead: R-Type DX (GBC), Phalanx, Gradius Galaxies

Need For Speed: Porsche Unleashed - Unlike the other NFS games on the system, Porsche Unleashed was a budget release, and it shows.
Play these instead: Need For Speed Underground 2, Need For Speed Most Wanted, GT Advance, GT Advance 3, Top Gear GT Championship
