It took about an hour, but that was really to figure out the best way to get the job done. My Super NES can now play Super Famicom games. Using a VERY long steak knife and a hammer, I got a clean cut through the 'region' tabs inside the system, and then used needlenose pliers to twist it off cleanly. Thanks to this, I can now play Natsuki Crisis Battle on my SNES :-D
Heh, now that I have experience, I can turn my XBOX into a linux box. I mean, it can't be -that- different, can it? LOL

Wow, that's a big friggin link.
Anyways, to avoid needing a LONG steak knife to midfy your console :) Get a set of videogame tools and, if you need them, batteries.

I JUST bought a set of these from Sylent, who's a GREAT seller! Can't wait for them to show so I can start ripping things apart! Yay!
Oh...and I actually DID use a BIG steak knife to mod my SNES! LOL!!

I'll just say those tool kits for $16.99 are the absolute best. I've used them for so much stuff.
Oh, btw AdamG: wouldn't it have been easier to buy a SNES game genie & taken the tabs off that?

In my quest to play imports, I broke the tabs out of my first SNES with a hammer and chisel, but only after the "game saver" I'd bought to use as a converter failed to recognize Tengai Makyo Zero. I seldom grow that impatient.
And the Game Genie is an UNLICENSED PRODUCT that will VOID YOUR WARRANTY, so you should never use it on your Super Nintendo.

What? Did Nintendo give you a life-time warranty or something? Last I knew, mine was well expired. ;)
