I'd like to buy games on Yahoo Japan and I realized that there are a lot of proxy sites out there these days... could you advice a couple of good ones, or ones you trust and use ?...
Thanks for your help :)

I've used Rinkya (http://www.rinkya.com/index.php?&affid=weeklyanimereview) before and have had good experiences with them the few times I've used them. They also regularly have commission specials on cheaper items.

I once used shoppingmalljapan, before I changed addresses and their shitty programmed site wouldn't allow my browser access to change the address, and refused to help me no matter how many times I emailed them. I lost over 1000 dollars on unshipped items that way.
I use Celga now, they're a lot easier to work with and they even let you make your own Yahoo JP account after a while. I wouldn't recommend anyone but them.

Thanks a lot everyone for your great replies :)
Rinkya looks like a great place - their website is really professional. Celga looks really good too. I think I'll pick one of the two. Thanks schnuth & Bombman !!!

He he he :) - You know what ? my wife and I have been thinking about it for a while. We've been learning Japanese for a few years. But my biggest concern is to find a job there as you have to be fluent in Japanese language and customs it seems. I went to Japan once and simply loved it - so maybe one day. I have another concern though... I may spend all my money in games if I ever move there ;)

Going on trips to Japan to get stuff doesn't make much sense if you skimp on shipping back home and have stuff sent back surface mail or (even worse) put in your check luggage for a flight home. Both are bad. Of course, I've spent a small fortune in airmail fees over the years.

i use Shopping Mall Japan.
the fees can stink sometimes...but it seems it has more to do with fluctuations in Yen. normally it's not too bad...for bigger items the deputy fee can stink. :(
all in all, i really haven't had any issues with them, and i've bought a LOT of stuff; games, movies, clothes, cds, etc.
you kind of have to ride them to get your stuff shipped, and sometimes they don't realize when you paid them...but forwarding a paypal statement takes care of that no problem. :)
all in all, i'm a regular SMJ customer.

Not true at all - I'd say most foreigners who start work in Japan don't speak Japanese. I was playing golf with a dude on Saturday who had lived here for 8 years and didn't speak the language!
Work skills are much more important to have than language skills.... Though language skills help smooth out life immensely!

You could also try Celga, I found out about them a few years ago at Anime Expo. Their web site is here: http://www.celga.com/beta/index.php?page=welcome

Rinkya isn't too bad, but the fees do add up quick if your bid or purchase exceeds 1000 yen.

I'm a constant SMJ customer (basically because they're the only service that doesn't require PayPal only... which I can't use due to verification problems) It's a good service, although I keep getting steamrollered by shipping fees.

http://www.aazumatrading.com/ aka Mail Order Japan.
They worked well enough for me whenever I used them in the past.
