The game looks fun and it seems like it has a decent and varied track list, but the high price has kept me weary. Does anyone here plan on getting it?

I don't pass on many music games, but this one I will. Who knows maybe someday if I get a real bargoon, but I don't see it in my house in the near future.

I'll be picking this one up for sure. It won't be a day one pickup since my money is tied up with MW2 but I'm really looking forward to trying out DJ Hero.

I think I'll get it someday, but not anytime soon. The price is way too high and the track list isn't very good.

No... I have real DJ equipment... So I don't need some expensive ass video game to play DJ.

NO. Neat concept, but way too expensive. Wait until ends up like Guitar Hero III, or Guitar Hero Aerosmith, Beatmania, or Rock Revolution, or Guitar Hero... well you get the point.

They have the demo setup at toys r us it not in the game section. I like it. It was really fun. The crowd, the mixes I am in.

i have a feeling this one'll be in the bargain bin faster than you can say 50cent: bulletproof.

i see the renegade edition being less than $50 in months.

so, no, not right now.

HELL yes. Been itching for this one for a while, even with the hefty price tag.

I'm been very interested in this one but I've wanted to give it a try first. Unfortunately none of the Best Buy's around me have demo stations set up for it yet.

About the demo setup at toys'r'us, is it really a demo version?, or the normal full game for play? What system(s) is the demo setup for?

Meh. I'm kinda getting sick of a new "Instrument Hero" game getting released every three months. I'll pass.

I was at a GameStop when they were setting up a demo unit around the closing hour, and it actually looks pretty good. The controller seems sturdy enough, and it seems like it would work well the way it's implemented. It's not that different from Guitar Hero, but the context of the notes is different, as they represent samples and stuff.

The big killer for me is the fact that I can only enjoy a small portion of the included music. I just can't stand rap. If it were just electronica, I'd snap it up in a heartbeat.

I am a sucker for rhythm games, but there is no fucking way I am paying the price tag. I will do what I did with the gh games and wait for a price drop.

Well I say that now, but I bought rock band 1 the week it was released, rock band 2 the week it was released, so who knows.

Considering the equipment I already have (Rock Band, Guitar Hero) and the amount of dust it accumulates I think i'll pass on another big ass dust magnet.

I am getting it, pending having enough money for it on launch day. I put down the minimum at GS, and I also got a coupon for an additional 10 bucks off. So I should have it day one.

I tried it out at a demo kiosk. It's neat, but the experience left me fairly flat. Better than the abortion Beatmania we got at least. I think I'll pass until they are clearenced out or can be had used for a pittance.

It was a sure must-buy for me. I have it on pre-order and everything. But I played the demo at Best Buy 2 weeks ago and I'm not quite sure what to think now. The game just didn't feel fun the same way Rock Band, Guitar Hero and other Rhythm games have for me.

It could just be I was very frustrated with the controller, I was already yelling at the game and it was just the 2nd song I was playing. ha. Maybe I should cancel the order?

The attraction of guitar games is that you play the songs note for note (like karaoki). This, however, feels a little more involving. Take that however it strikes you, and act accordingly.

Demo version with limited track list, like the Guitar Hero demos. XBox 360.

Maybe. But I already have thousands upon thousands of dollars of real DJ gear (top of the line) and records, so I don't see too much of an appeal of buying this. I'd rather spend the $200 on another mixer.

No. I am already hearing people talk about going to try it out only to find the demo unit broken royal.

I sold my 360 recently so until I get another next gen console I can't play it. Not sure I want to get it either for fear of it ending up like rock band-an endless money/time drain one of the reasons I sold my 360 was for the sake of my productivity and finances which rock band negatively effected. I have a feeling this game could do the same

I picked up the renegade edition I am surprised about the size of it. It is pretty big compared to the oringinal edition. Looks sweet just my opinion.

I think I'll pass.

I am a sucker for the music/rhythm genre so I am definitely going to pick it up, though I am on the fence about which version to get. I am a pretty big fan of Eminem and like Jay-Z too so I think I may end up with the renegade edition.

Oh good maybe you can clarify this for me. The songs from Eminem and Jay-Z are actually incorporated into the game right? They aren't just regular cds?

I'm waiting for the price drop. The sucker in me would have bought it new a year ago, I've learned to wait it out now.
