I enjoy these posts, but could everyone please tell what the post is about in the subject heading?
Here's what I usually see when I pop into this section:
-What a jerk!
-Holy cripes!
-This auction is crazy
-IT COSTS 2 MUCHHH
-Price way too high
-I found out my dad is gay
-dumb bidder
-I can't believe this one!
Here's what I 'd like to see:
-this jerk stiffed me on a boxed Crazy Climber
-$500 for 2600 Q-Bert!
-why is everyone bidding on this Astrosmash?
-reserve for DC Ikaruga = $5000!
-NWC cart going for 10 grand
-my gay dad auctioning off his Adventurevision
-bidder to pay $80 for Gamecube AV
-piece of paper with Air Raid written on it going for $400

It's actually a tactic to get people to read the thread- I've noticed that posts I've made with titles pertinent to the subject don't get read as much as ones with stupidly vague strings of words.

Yeah, that kind of crap drives me crazy. If someone wants to read it, they will. If not, just move on. If I modded a forum, anything stupid and vague like that would get deleted. I seriously see threads with a subject line of "Can..." or "How do I..." on a fairly regular basis. I'm probably going to lose it on the next person that does that.

Have fun, you'd have a lot of pissed off people to deal with.
I don't know what's wrong with those "What a jerk" "Dumb Bidder" thread titles, cause I mean, when you open them up, what else do you expect? :/
I like them because each one is like a surprise. If every subject header said exactly what was in the auction, I would just have to scan the headers and there'd be no fun left. Of course, this only applies to the eBay forum, though you don't see vague headers as much in other forums.

Yeah, those are fine since they give an idea of who the idiot is. I'm just annoyed by the stuff that has nothing to do with the actual post.

LOL LOL LOL
Maybe we should just put the URL in the title. Then you won't have to open the message.
