I was wondering if anyone knows a way to play Mark III(Japanese Sega master system games for those who don't know) on a US Sega master system? I know the carts are different shapes but are the pcb's the same size? Any info would be great :-D

If you've got Mark 3 carts, you'd better pick up a Mark 3 system AND the FM sound unit. Better sound than the US version isn't a bad thing.

I don't have any Mark 3 carts but a friend does. he wants to see if there is a way to play them without getting a Mark 3 system.

They don't make either anymore, and every SMS that gets destroyed is another SMS I won't be able to pick up. So even if the answer was "yes, but you'd need to cut off the whole top," do you think I'd condone that?

Sorry man ;)

Oh, and I bet the answer is yes, but you'd need to cut off something or other. Depends what is bigger...the slot on the SMS or the Mark 3 cartridge.

there's a new Genesis/megadrive adapter that supports SMS/Mark III aparantly. I think Lik-sang carries it. anyhow, it was mentioned on SMSpower's message board a little while back.
