I saw a few videos for it on Youtube and me being a sucker for sidescrolling games, it really sparked my interest. So I decided to throw down the $20 and got it off of the PSN today, so far I'm not disappointed. It strongly resembles The Lost Vikings, where you have control of 3 characters and each of them have their own abilities you need to use in order to get through the levels in one piece. Unlike The Lost Vikings tho, if one of the characters die you aren't completely screwed.

The game itself is beautiful and the story plays out like a fairytale, with narrative and all. There's almost always more than one way to take on a situation and plenty of hidden items laying around each area to collect. The controls are pretty decent, although at times there were simple jumps that I should have made, but didn't because the controls didn't respond correctly when I clearly hit the jump button and the characters walked off the ledge instead.

This is another nice little gem to hit the PSN that I'll be sure to see through to the end.

Anyone check this game out yet?

Yeah, it's pretty good. A buddy of mine grabbed it off the UK network a few weeks ago...very fun game.

The PC version has been out for a few weeks. I got it at Gamestop and put a few hours into it...stopped when I got Halo ODST and then Demon's Souls -- I will get back to it.

Fantastic game, worth every penny. Probably more graphically impressive on the PC from what I am seeing, but it gets increasingly demanding of the hardware as you get into it...

The guys on the Giant Bomb-cast have been pining for that game for quite some time. (They loved the early builds.)

I'll be interested to hear what they have to say.

This game is phenomenal!

Imo this represents what 2D gamers have been longing for, it's truly the innovation of 2D gaming. The maps evolve and are not repetitive, the storyline is well told through narration and the graphics are just plain beautiful.

3 player co-op is an absolute riot! It has drop in and drop out play which ever game should have these days imo, it's great when you can take breaks and others can play.

On a final note this game is challenging, damn challenging. Of course I started on hard and me and 2 other people have never laughed this hard playing a game in a LONG time, it's so fun, nerve wrecking and frustrating all at the same time yet brilliant.

This game is worth more than $20 honestly, I would have paid retail for this! It's truly old school 2D gaming done to absolute perfection, the closest game I can think of that resembles it other than Lost Vikings is Astal on the Sega Saturn, one of the last 2D games to really try and push things forward.

Buy it!
